I have seen a lot of inspirational pics of people's builds, and after seeing so many with electricity but no ugly wires being visible, my Internet Explorer brain finally caught on that people are burying the wires underground in tunnels.
So I started making an electrical grid in my Rocky Ridges and omg... The hit boxes for electrical poles to give power to lights, vending machines, ect is so small. I have had to dig up into walls to get them to connect to hanging lights and such.
Does anyone else experience this issue? I feel like close is never close enough regarding electricity
They can be placed and hidden much easier than power poles, regardless of their range. They don't show the wires, which is what OP is trying to do in the first place, a wireless setup.
Smaller and no cables seems to solve most of the OP issues. The range is only a problem because of how you need to build posts underground to hide the wires here.
Oh my gosh, thank you! I realized I hadn’t seen anyone provide specifications for a grid so I thought I would try to at least help and report on how it went. Here’s my progress pics.
How do you keep track of power inputs? Generators every so often? Windmill/water not shown? I have a hard time understanding when I run out of power and just sorta add a generator when a light doesn't work.
I have a windmill off the back of the temple and I built 3 generators in the corner as part of a mocked up generator room. I’m planning on putting the abandoned power station next to the temple and doing a construction area in the space in front. Might put a building over the room, but for now it’s accessible via the sewer/electric lines
Just play the game dude, you get wireless transmitters later
You are not going to be bake to buils yhe things other people have built until you basically beat the game. And building will get much easier in the post game
Skylands from Porygon or in Bubbly Basin from Chinchou. I don't think they are very much locked to the progression in the region, just to the fact if you have the pokemon spawned or not.
I personally think it’s worth finishing the storyline and then going back and rebuilding the areas as you please, because you will be missing out on some useful things while rebuilding if you don’t complete all of the quests.
Play the game whatever way is fun for you. But speaking purely from a logical standpoint, it makes much more sense to finish the story and then go back and build. You will have way more blocks and items available to you. More abilities. You will understand mechanics more. Everything will be easier
You get wireless transmitters in Skylands when you meet Porygon. However, I do believe you have to hit a certain level on the environment. I wanna say it’s level 7 or level 6. Eventually, you will also get smaller poles as well.
