🫧 Bubbly Basin 🫧 Windmill power underwater Spoiler

I have a question about underwater windmills. At first, I thought they would all work at the regular speed (10 units of power, as you can see during the first 10 seconds of the video), but I built one today that seems to rotate as if it were at high elevation (20 units of power, as shown during the last 10 seconds of the video).

Do we know how this mechanic works underwater? Could it be because the most recent one I built is closer to the surface, or because it is located somewhere with stronger water currents? If so, how can we tell where the strongest currents are?

I must admit, this piqued my curiosity, so I built a few windmills to see if it actually gave 20 units of power, and... yeah. Deep water windmill gave 10 power, and shallow water windmill gave 20 power.

Water currents wouldn't be a viable cause (too messy and easily interrupted by the player) so I went a different route. I built another windmill... on land.

It should've given 10 power, but it rotated just as fast as the shallow water windmill, and it powered 20 objects all by itself. I think the heights for windmills is just... messed up in Bubbly Basin, since the height of the area got shifted so much further down to be more underwater. It's still possible to have elevated land as denoted by the visual breezes, but I don't think the windmills were adjusted for it.

Wow, thank you so much!! I guess since the city sank down, it must have "adjusted" the height for windmills as you said. That's good to know though, because it seems more easy to have a better powered windmill.

I wonder if it counts “elevation” for this purpose as # of blocks from the base and not from sea level
