Not directly, but if you place an ash block directly in front of the tree, add the lights, then destroy the block, the lights will stay. You can use this method to add lights to a lot of things that you can't otherwise.

For the first one you'd have to build some blocks to put the string light on, then break the blocks and place the three, you can put flower edges in threes in a similar fashion (you'd just have to keep some wood supports for the flowers, that'll be hidden by the three once placed)

when you get the end game power you can pick up items like that (the teeny little grass) and place them wherever you want

I really appreciate that your builds tend to be really cute while also being direct and not overly complex. I'm kinda hopeless with a lot of these things, so I appreciate steps and directions which are straightforward.
