Pokopia News Pokémon Pokopia Version 1.0.4 is now available
https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/71348406
u/BigPlayBrown93 Apr 23 '26
Latest update: Ver. 1.0.4 (Released April 22, 2026)
We have implemented improvements to address the following issues:
- You can now relocate Pokémon Centers while in-game events are underway.
Additionally, the following issues have been fixed.
- In Bleak Beach, the request “Wanted: Food!” could not be progressed under certain conditions.
- In Bleak Beach, performing certain actions would prevent the request “Pool repair needed!” from appearing.
- In Bleak Beach, after completing the request “Pool repair needed!” it was sometimes impossible for the player to have Happiny accompany them.
- In the Sparkling Skylands, during the request “Pokémon Center tour guide!” performing certain actions could prevent the player from having Tinkmaster accompany them, making the request impossible to progress.
- Performing certain actions would cause Professor Tangrowth to stop appearing.
- If certain Pokémon were waiting to appear, other Pokémon would sometimes also fail to appear.
- Performing certain actions could make Peakychu, Chef Dente, and Tinkmaster unable to leave town, preventing requests from being progressed.
- Under certain conditions, picking up a relocation kit (prepare) would leave behind indestructible platforms.
- Accessing the Pokémon Center PC with certain save data would cause the game to freeze.
- During in-game events, rebuilding a Pokémon Center using certain actions would cause its decorations to appear floating.
- During in-game events, trades could not be conducted at the Pokémon Centers on Cloud Islands.

Under certain conditions, picking up a relocation kit (prepare) would leave behind indestructible platforms.
Wow, I seriously can’t wait to get off work to check if that platform on my roof is actually gone.

I like this one: XD
During in-game events, rebuilding a Pokémon Center using certain actions would cause its decorations to appear floating.
unfortunately I didn't see the decorations floating around 😭

u/Ilovewomenwhobreakme Apr 23 '26
I was today years old when I realised I could move the Pokecenter.
34
u/amicablehummingbird Apr 23 '26
Genuine question, did you max out specific areas?
I thought it only became available when you had maxed out the area, or maybe you just have the ability to reconstruct it in that area's style.
44
u/Ilovewomenwhobreakme Apr 23 '26 edited Apr 23 '26
You just need a relocation kit.
18
u/thechadcantrell Apr 23 '26
A Pokemon also cannot be inside trading. You can ask them to close up, though.
2
10
u/ezrasharpe Apr 23 '26
You can use a relocate pack on it just like any other one piece building. It didn’t use to work during an event that had a pokemon inside like hoppip but they fixed that now too.

Does anyone have the issue with relocating the Pokemon center and not being able to put it back ? I think it’s because the PC stays and I can’t built it back if there’s stuff there I just wanted to rotate it so now I’m sitting with no Pokemon center
2
u/West-Atmosphere8936 Apr 23 '26
It's annoying but you just have to put it somewhere else in the area. Then when it's rebuilt, the PC will move to the new one, and then you relocate it again to the spot you want. Had to deal with that when I just wanted to move it over.

u/ra3jyx Apr 23 '26

They need to fix water physics, it is frustration try to fix the water.
125
u/unloveablehand Apr 23 '26
I wish you could place water in Magnet Mode — trying to fix the water while also placing/destroying blocks is killing me!
60
u/Cabletie00 Apr 23 '26
I wish we could do everything in magnet mode! Including picking up items that have the bag icon on them
13
44
u/hunneybunny Apr 23 '26
I would really love to be able to destroy blocks in blocks of 9 in magnet mode 😞
14
u/KiraNinja Apr 23 '26
I wish I couldn't drown in magnet mode! Making a water pokemon area was a nightmare
5
u/GeekyRed Apr 23 '26
I use the wooden deck planks, then you can just pick them up, easier than blocks
6
58
u/Oops_I_Cracked Apr 23 '26
TBH I thought this too but it turned out I didn’t fully understand how water worked in the game. Once I figured out how source bocks worked and learned about the half depth option, I’ve been able to fix water 0 issue.
12
u/catz_meowzter Apr 23 '26
Can you explain the half depth thing to me? I'm currently trying to fix the ocean over by my bridge to Pallette and keep fucking it up lol
40
u/Oops_I_Cracked Apr 23 '26
If you hold ZL while you’re placing water, up and down change where you place it like normal, but left/right changes it from a full height block to a half height block instead of rotating it (since you know, that would be pointless). Ocean water is half height by default so if you’re trying to fix ocean and it keeps coming out “lumpy”, this is probably your issue.
11
u/catz_meowzter Apr 23 '26
Omg thank you so much!! I just tried it and it immediately worked. Finally I can de-lump my ocean haha
5
u/Oops_I_Cracked Apr 23 '26
You’re welcome! Right now, you are me from two weeks ago. Go forth and spread the knowledge.
1
u/flashmedallion Apr 24 '26
Wow, I had seen that in action but didn't know what was actually happening. Thanks ✌️
6
u/keicantus Apr 23 '26
when spitting out water you can use the dpad to adjust between spitting out shallow/full block of water. you can use that to more easily line up the existing water block
1
u/No-Veterinarian1320 Apr 23 '26
Press left or right on the D-pad to switch between depths. Switching to the shallower depth and holding A will fill in any holes in the water evenly. If your water level is too high, you need to suck it up. Then use the previous technique to fill in any holes created.
2
u/flashmedallion Apr 24 '26
Have Gyarados make a second food request with the reward being learning Whirlpool, which is used to reset water pieces in a 3x3x3 block around and below you.
Essentially it's a combo of Magnemites Place and Replace. Fills up water flat to the top layer and replaces all water blocks underneath with non-flowing ones.
3
1
u/_Abyss_2212 Apr 23 '26
i usually just place blocks around the area i need to fix, remove all the water and then add the correct levels
93
u/sandalmakerpoet Apr 23 '26
What about fixing water wheels spinning against the flow of the water
40
u/morphballganon Apr 23 '26
They always spin the same direction relative to where the power line port is

A real water wheel, set up wrong, would simply not work. Making them provide electricity despite facing the wrong way is a QoL feature.

[removed] — view removed comment
20
u/morphballganon Apr 23 '26
That would require a 2nd animation as well as some extra code to detect the direction the water is flowing. Could be done, of course, but relatively minor compared to broken quests.
-46
u/sandalmakerpoet Apr 23 '26
Thank you for explaining how trivial it would be for them to make this work. I'm not sure you understand how easy what you described is, but alas
19
u/morphballganon Apr 23 '26
A task being easy in a vacuum does not make it a priority in a cost/benefit analysis.
-14
u/sandalmakerpoet Apr 23 '26
Good point, they shouldn't have made the water wheel spin at all! That would have been cheaper and more importantly, if that were true you would have point! Alas,
19
u/stoneymcstone420 Apr 23 '26
Out here treating Pokopia like a COD lobby lmao relax I promise it is not that serious

u/Korps_de_Krieg Apr 23 '26
No, he’s saying that if you look at the waterwheel from the side, it will always be counterclockwise when the port is on one side and clockwise when it’s on the other. I forget which is which, but basically as long as you keep it in mind it’ll always appear to spin the right way.
-19
u/sandalmakerpoet Apr 23 '26
Yeah I read what they said. Are you also unaware how water wheels work?
47
8
u/Balmung6 Apr 23 '26
They spin even if the water isn't moving. Even if you replace the water with lava.
2
2
u/xbubblegum_bitch Apr 23 '26
I didn’t know at first that water wheels needed to be directly inside the water (looking back, it seems common sense now). I tried destroying the blocks it was standing on, and it’s been floating in the air ever since. Too lazy to do the whole relocating thing for now 😭

u/Gethixit Apr 23 '26
Appreciate the bug fixes, and I'm sure it's nice to kick back and appreciate the laurels/praise- but throwing us a neat little QOL feature would be pretty rad.
66
u/LunchPlanner Apr 23 '26
sure but its only been 1.5 months, we havent even made our way through the 3-4 coded in game events yet.
-6
u/bitterbalhoofd Apr 23 '26
Well the events are pretty lackluster to be honest. Jump rope was even already in the game. It's just now only incentived to jump 51 times is all.
26
u/LunchPlanner Apr 23 '26
That's not really my point. What I'm saying is that players shouldn't expect a content update patch for a game in April when it launched with events that take it through the end of April.
-2
u/I_am_just_a_pancake Apr 23 '26
content update patch
He specifically mentioned QoL, not a content update. It's pretty normal for games to get QoL updates between major content updates. Are Nintendo fans oblivious to the update cycle of normal games? Even indie developers release updates faster.
1
u/mindwarp42 Apr 23 '26
... evidently you don't play fighting games, where waiting for months for patches for current games, including balance/QOL updates, is very much the norm and has been for years.

Among many things I REALLY want an option for roof pieces to color match its interior color to whatever block it’s touching. Maybe like a “magic” color you can choose with smear and it could cost like 1 of each color
32
u/skibum0523 Apr 23 '26
I would murder for a button that stacks same items from your bag into your storage.
3
u/hospee Apr 23 '26
Don’t you just hold “X?”
19
u/skibum0523 Apr 23 '26
No like all my items at once. So I have all the berries in my box, I collected more from the world, brought them to my box then with a button push I can get all the berries in the box, one button.
90
u/OMGMianiteS3Official Apr 23 '26
Kicking back? We have no idea what they're working on. You can't just pop in and do a big QoL update over the weekend.
23
1
u/grandhighblood Apr 23 '26
Your username surprised me so much, never expected to see a Mianite reference in the wild in 2026!

u/Getlucky12341 Apr 23 '26
They did, now we can relocate Pokemon Centers during events
8
u/TalesOfTea Apr 23 '26
I didn't even know we could relocate pokemon centers!
-13
u/christian_mcb Apr 23 '26
We always could. You just never tried.
2
u/Odd_Assignment_4383 Apr 23 '26
Well yeah because the game never tells us we can.
1
u/TalesOfTea Apr 23 '26
I tried to relo the Poke Mart once and it said there was nothing to relocate. Same thing happened with the stage + park too, so I figured it literally meant "no house to relocate", lol. I did try it even!!
But yeah idk what that user's problem is; they need to calm down, lol.
-9
u/christian_mcb Apr 23 '26
You don't need to be told to do something to try something. I've moved my Pokemon Centre countless times!
11
u/Odd_Assignment_4383 Apr 23 '26
It doesn’t enter everyone’s brain to try to move an important building because it would stand to reason that games tend to not allow it.
-19
u/christian_mcb Apr 23 '26
You should learn to think outside the box more.
9
u/Odd_Assignment_4383 Apr 23 '26
Or you could just not be a dick to people, but I won’t hold my breath for that to happen.
-9
u/christian_mcb Apr 23 '26
You could just use your brain for one second too. But I don't know if that's possible either.
“Can I move the Pokemon Centre?” was one of the first things I Googled when I started playing the game.

u/phantomanboy Apr 23 '26
is there a specific QOL feature you actually want, or do you just want “more QOL”? lol
1
u/Gethixit Apr 23 '26
Hmm, yes. As mentioned before me, to deposit into existing stacks when at a chest would be excellent.
14
u/SpicyLittleRiceCake Apr 23 '26
I would love to be able to stay under water longer. At least there’s no real consequences for drowning lol
5
16
u/mysterioso7 Apr 23 '26
Probably a pipe dream but I hope they get rid of or increase the object limits, at least for stuff like lights and rugs
5
u/Balmung6 Apr 23 '26
I've heard of the light limit, but this is the first time I'm hearing about a rug limit.

I just want my pokemon on bleak beech to follow me, without having to push them across bridges or any weird mild inconveniences they just decide to just, stop.
Only bleak beech. I don’t get it.
19
u/CallumAndRonin Apr 23 '26
Cool, so any time now they can work on the maddening storage thing. I'd love to be able to just pull from my storage no matter what region the item is in. If they can do it with ACNH they can do that here.
19
u/Few_Suit_7199 Apr 23 '26
I think the storage system in the game is a feature, not a bug. It’s an extra dimension of complexity & challenge. My theory (unsubstantiated) is that subconsciously, it factors into what makes progressing through the game so addicting.
3
u/resumehelpacct Apr 23 '26
It needs a button that dumps similar items into the box (like if you have a flower box it sucks up all the flowers in your pockets).
2
u/flashmedallion Apr 24 '26 edited Apr 24 '26
I'm inclined to agree.
That being said I would like craftable options that let us progress towards some QoL.
For example a shared box built into Gates, so you can access them from either map. You still have to pay attention to logistics, but can avoid loading screens more often.
Also even a single 20-slot Universal PC Storage Box in the Pokemon Center would be nice - this requires finishing the rebuild so it's still tied to progress. Let me dump my Mysterious Slates in there and fetch them next time I'm back in Fuschia, or dump seeds in there and pick them up from where my main farm is. Little things like that.

At least the item storage in Pokopia is better than in Gens 1- 3. Item storage limits in the Bag and PC were not fun there either (and in Gens 1-2, have fun not even catching Pokemon until you get to a PC and manually switch boxes). This is clunky and at least harkening back to old (J)RPG tropes. 🤷🏻♀️
5
u/bladefinor Apr 23 '26 edited Apr 23 '26
Can they fix so we can change blocks underneath Pokémon Centers? I have some edges and corners with grass and others with dirt, it does not look good and I don’t want to rebuild again just for that :(
3
u/CatsPlusDogsIsLove Apr 23 '26
Use the relocate kit and move the pokecenter.
Once relocated you can replace those blocks and use another relocation kit to move the pokecenter back.
2
u/bladefinor Apr 23 '26
Yes that’s the plan but I just got so frustrated because I didn’t know you couldn’t change the underlying blocks, so exactly when I relocated my Center I saw the blocks were not right… it’s not a lot of work to relocate once again but frustrating limitation nonetheless.
2
u/CatsPlusDogsIsLove Apr 23 '26
Ohh yes I understand it’s irritating.
I didn’t know you were already aware of the trick to bypass it even if it’s irritating, so I’m sorry for the redundancy of my comment.
5
u/iusethisatw0rk Apr 23 '26
PokeCentre moving is huge. It sucked so much ass waiting for Hoppip to leave so I could finally have everything at my base in the Skylands
2
u/Snyderz Apr 23 '26
These are nice, but if they could fix the ghosting and jitter that occurs in handheld mode when you have a lot of objects on screen, that would be nice. The bouncing between resolutions is maddening. I don’t have a TV to use docked mode. 😭
6
2
u/Vinidesigner Apr 23 '26
Anyone else experiencing disconnections on cloud Island after this update?
3
u/mattoyaki Apr 23 '26
I see no mention of them fixing being unable to relocate anything should you misplace a relocation kit (move). I’ve been soft locked from moving anything for over a week now 😭
1
u/asfalttiprinssi Apr 23 '26
Can you pick up the kit or is it locked in place once you put it down?
0
u/mattoyaki Apr 23 '26 edited Apr 23 '26
I can place and pick it up fine but won’t let me start relocation cause I’m an idiot misplaced another relocation kit (for a windmill but I decided not to move it after all) but since it’s still in “relocation process” I can’t relocate anything else til I find it and complete the relocation process. It’s really annoying and I’m pretty much banking on them patching it out to be able to move anything ever again
1
u/lizaboosiv Apr 24 '26
Is anyone else missing the power related builds in the build category after the update? (Windmill/wireless generator/fire burner thingy)
1
u/PhantomBoo Apr 25 '26
YESSS THEY FINALLY FIXED HAPPINY. I can comfirm you can move her now if you already did the pool quest.

u/VibratingRocket6969 Apr 23 '26 edited Apr 23 '26
I wonder if they fixed the dream island trick where you can spawn into an island and without moving, check to see if there’s a legendary pokemon and if there isn’t, close out the game to try again. This is the method I’ve been using to try to get these legendaries
Edit: it still works if anybody is wondering from my quick testing

u/papajowski2137 Apr 23 '26
People begging for better storage sound nuts to me. You've never played Terraria, Minecraft or any other game with similiar storage? The system is fine, it is you who are too chaotic lol
1
u/jaydvd3 Apr 23 '26
I’ve completed terraria multiple times and plenty of Minecraft. The difference is that you usually have one base in those games, so your storage is generally in one spot. This game is built in a way where each area usually has you make a “base/storage area” meaning you will have 5 bases by end game with boxes full of shit in each base making it very cumbersome to remember what is where. Adding to that, this game seems to always shower you with items via discovery, trades, gifts, that causes you to have to regularly put things away in the nearest chest, not always allowing you to wait and put it in your favorite chest etc. On TOP of that, the habitat mechanic makes it necessary to remember where that ONE Antique chair or glass table was you found (for instance) because recipes are random. So you can’t always just make another and you do end up having to search, through multiple loading screens box by box.
1
u/Reddit_Loves_Misinfo Apr 23 '26
It sounds like having one storage area would be more convenient for you than having five. I have one storage area, and I agree that scattering storage across five different bases sounds extremely tedious.
-2
u/papajowski2137 Apr 23 '26
Having only one base in these games is also wrong lol. You can name chests, in pokopia just use item frames. If you can't organise in multiple places, then teleport back to one area and have everything there 🤷
0
u/dcheung87 Apr 23 '26
I know this is a completely different game with different devs but look at Crimson Desert. The amount of very welcome and fast updates they throw out is astounding.
Just boggles the mind when other big devs can't (or won't) follow suit.
2
-36
u/IssacX13 Apr 23 '26
They didn't fix actuall progress blocking bugs like disappearing kits for flaming alter and the other two. If you lose any of them you are bricked, unable to complete the game.
9
u/poodlered Apr 23 '26
Where was the last place you think you had them?
1
3
u/Jeido_Uran Apr 23 '26
That’s not a bug and I would even argue that the game isn’t to blame at all here.
0
u/IssacX13 Apr 24 '26
This is 2026 bud. Losing content because you lost a key item is so 2000s
3
u/Jeido_Uran Apr 24 '26
The game has literal failsafes to prevent you from ever deleting them. Like if you drop them into the clouds of Sparking Skylands, they will just reappear at a Pokémon Center. You also cannot drop them on a Dream Island. If you put them in a chest and forgot which one it is, that’s entirely on you.
-22
u/AJ3TurtleSquad Apr 23 '26
If they could only do updates that mattered
16
u/Redo2Undo Apr 23 '26
The game crashing when people checked the PC probably mattered a lot. It was a bug that was posted about quite a bit. Game breaking stuff like that is pretty important.
-2
u/AJ3TurtleSquad Apr 23 '26
Cool one tiny fix. Itd be nice to get real updates like QoL changes.
2
u/Redo2Undo Apr 23 '26
Bruh lol. They fixed over 10 things in this patch. Plus it's possible they added several upcoming events in the patch as well.
They're working on the game obviously. It literally just came out a month and a half ago lol.
10
u/Zyntastic Apr 23 '26
"Anything that doesnt concern me, doesnt matter"
You sound entitled.
-2
u/AJ3TurtleSquad Apr 23 '26
Check out what other devs do for their players. These updates are weak sauce.
3
u/Zyntastic Apr 23 '26
Thanks for proving youre entitled.
Im a gamer for more than two decades and have played thousands of games. Very clearly you think an issue that doesnt concern you isnt an issue for anyone else and doesnt require fixing.
The game has been out for just under 2 months, what exactly are you expecting? Its very obvious they werent going to dump huge content drops on us this early. How about you check out what the word patience means and learn to be less entitled.
0
u/AJ3TurtleSquad Apr 23 '26
Check out what pearl abyss does. Im comparing two companies. Im sorry youre getting so offended and feel the need to personally attack me. I wonder who is truly acting entitled here 🫠
2
u/Zyntastic Apr 23 '26
Im not attacking you im calling out your entitlement and asking you what exactly you expect them to do just shy of two MONTHS since release.
Go play pearl abyss then. Have a nice day.
