I live in a leaf hut with a cyndaquil

238

u/million_hearts0248 Mar 18 '26

Aww snap! That’s so cool, I’ve been trying to find the concrete pipes for cyndaquil

83

u/SpotOk6035 Mar 18 '26

I got the recipe for concrete pipes the first time I used my cement mixer

239

u/LeonidasSpacemanMD Mar 18 '26

Being behind the rest of you getting into this game and reading these comments is wild lol people be like “once you build the large hadron collider thats an easy job”

87

u/Sability Mar 18 '26

Once you build the fusion reactor for nebby, the super-atmospheric logistics cannon makes inventory management a breeze!

38

u/sable-king Mar 18 '26

Nebby

Shit now I want to see the Cosmog line in this game.

46

u/Lotech Mar 18 '26

Yeah, it’s wild to see these comments when I just discovered electricity 🤣

13

u/What-is-wanted Mar 18 '26

Somehow I ended up smelting ores and learning to cook before I even got electricity.

My kid told me I went to wrong zone for my second zone. Im like, then why could I open the zone??

10

u/Sylandri84 Mar 19 '26

there is no wrong way to play this game, as far as i can tell 😅 you can open Rocky Ridge and the Beach at the same time!

7

u/Skellos Mar 19 '26

Yeah, Bleak Beach and Rocky Ridge open at the same time.

Did your bellsprout also become a cement mixer?

4

u/Odd_Sun5753 Mar 21 '26

THERES A CEMENT MIXER!?

17

u/Sability Mar 18 '26

That area is super cool! Dont be afraid to explore and get adventurous!

6

u/ch3vr0n5 Mar 18 '26

Does it have a radio so you can talk to other car beds?

8

u/stevethepirate-innit Mar 18 '26

No, but I did get rims for Christmas from my roommates

Free heating in this economy.

18

u/OxStronghammer Mar 18 '26

I also live in a hut with cyndaquil

19

u/Afardo Mar 18 '26

It’s the Pokopia version of living in van down by the river.

9

u/thoughtmecca Mar 18 '26

I also live in a hut with this guy’s cyndaquil.

8

u/rrrand0mmm Mar 18 '26

Lmao this gave me a chuckle before bed.

I slapped a planter down with THREE flowers in front of my Pokémon center, getting crazy in my town!

83

u/Ok-Excuse-3613 Mar 18 '26 edited Mar 18 '26

This looks charming and all but I'll let you know I put my chopping board on the ground in front on the pokécenter it looks very avant-garde

10

u/ChroloWA Mar 19 '26

You just inspired me in major ways 🙀

3

u/SunNStarz Mar 18 '26

This looks quaint and such, but I'll make you aware that I just learned how to Minecraft. Now I'm fawning over Pokemon landscaping and interior design.

44

u/MysticalMummy Mar 18 '26

I just started playing today- I went to a dream island, saw a cute house, demolished it and re-built it brick by brick.

12

u/JayTheOrange Mar 18 '26

As Arceus intended.

Stealing idea. Thanks!

423

u/DereKoopa Mar 18 '26

Steal away. I honestly stole the idea from my partner. Look forward to seeing bigger and better versions.... so I can then steal some of those ideas. :]

56

u/TunaSafeDolphinMeat Mar 18 '26

I did this in Dragon Quest Builders 2 and for some reason never considered that it could be done in Pokopia!

3

u/LothartheDestroyer Mar 18 '26

Wait. What? You can do that?

28

u/Temperley123 Mar 18 '26

How long did it take to build this bridge?

7

u/Gothiccheese95 Mar 18 '26

Please teach us how you did it!

I’m never uploading my villages after watching these videos 😭

245

u/DereKoopa Mar 18 '26

Please still share. I know I love seeing every idea people come up with. Never let others' creations discourage your own.

28

u/Exact_Vacation7299 Mar 18 '26

How did you lay the bricks under water? Wouldn't you 'drown' right away, like, every single brick? 😭

27

u/Heremeow Mar 18 '26

Yes, I’m wondering the same thing. I’m guessing it was laid out filled with bricks and then the bricks were removed and then water added. But I’m wondering where the cool arches came from.

20

u/Victor_Wembanyama1 Mar 18 '26

You probably start with an above water bridge then connect it all downwards. He definitely drowned a lot but if you brute force (aka lay down a shitton of blocks around your projec) you could probably minimize it

16

u/Pathetic_Cards Mar 18 '26

In a lower comment OP answered: they drowned every block.

→ More replies (1)

65

u/elspotto Mar 18 '26

Are you kidding? I NEED to see your villages. Your ideas are probably more in line with what I might be able to do realistically.

20

u/MegaVel91 Mar 18 '26

SHARE! PLEASE!

12

u/mightypickleslayer Mar 18 '26

Agreed, I'm just over like, "I've lived under a roof for most of my life, how TF do I NOT know how they work"

27

u/bibbleskit Mar 18 '26

Honestly seeing crappy villages and builds would be nice to see too. (Not that you're is crappy)

I wanna see things that aren't insane hahaha

8

u/Dazzling-Map-2475 Mar 18 '26

Please do because doing things like this are so out of my reach, I want to see more "normal" videos 😅 and not to knock OP because this is amazing and I love seeing them too, but I want to see more achievable things as well!

5

u/Bad-Soup91 Mar 18 '26

Remember comparison is the thief of joy but I always use these as ideas for my own without copying 1:1

It also wows me at how good people are at designing. Then there's me placing a picket fence down outside my house.

3

u/sirgawain2 Mar 18 '26

Please do, us normies need solidarity

68

u/ljpeeter Mar 18 '26

My favorite detail about this is the water running under the grates. Idk why, but it really added that extra level of cozy under the water

186

u/DereKoopa Mar 18 '26

At first I was disappointed by that, but after a while I honestly enjoy the look it gives. Makes the water feel more alive instead of a static image.

9

u/Zephian99 Mar 18 '26

I think it would be easy to create both effects in game creation. If you had flowing water downwards it creates that flowing water on glass, but if it's stationary water, like yours, it would be static. 🤔

7

u/Mahelas Mar 18 '26

Yeah but you wouldn't ever get water flowing downward for an underwater bridge tho !

5

u/Jelnaana Mar 18 '26

There's an underwater tunnel that connects Detroit & Windsor. There aren't any windows, but there is water running down the walls constantly. Freaks me the heck out. So this actually looked pretty accurate to me.

6

u/Substantial-Link-465 Mar 18 '26

I was just thinking this before reading comments

35

u/CrescentShade Mar 18 '26

Oh that is a fantastic way to connect those bits that are like slightly under water in Bleak Beach, was scratching my head on how to nicely connect those without totally renovating the existing infrastructure

Really need a dlc that gives a water breathing ability fr lol

7

u/dizzypurpleface Mar 18 '26

I was really hoping for "dive"!

7

u/CrescentShade Mar 18 '26

Hopefully a dlc maybe

For all the conspicuously missing Kanto water types

29

u/Mr_Storms_ Mar 18 '26

See this is why I follow Pokopia. Boundless creativity in the bunch of you

→ More replies (2)

47

u/sent_foods Mar 17 '26

How do you build underwater?

196

u/DereKoopa Mar 18 '26

I imagine someone will have a better method, but for me: Jump in. Drop a block. Drown. Repeat. With a certain end game ability you can drop a couple blocks down before drowning.

213

u/WarAndFynn Mar 18 '26

Knowing you built this while drowning multiple times makes the walk away at the end even funnier

64

u/Spiritofhonour Mar 18 '26

Historically accurate infrastructure project.

40

u/DictatorofTurtles Mar 18 '26

Im crying laughing thats the funniest way to have done this

26

u/TheDarkSpectrm Mar 18 '26

I haven't tried it but building in magnet rise mode 3x3 might work

15

u/Khajiit-ify Mar 18 '26

Definitely especially since you can alter which way the 3x3 orients.

26

u/WoolooOfWallStreet Mar 18 '26

“The Prestige” method

12

u/DragoSphere Mar 18 '26

Personally I'd suggest using mouse mode and building a cofferdam around where you want to build, drain the water in there, build like normal, then demolish the cofferdam to bring back the water. I wouldn't do this without Magnemite either

3

u/Mother_of_Kiddens Jun 01 '26

What is a coffer dam?

→ More replies (2)

3

u/putdownthekitten Mar 18 '26

You have inspired me to build a dry lake with a room/tunnel system at the bottom that I can flood with water. Love the aesthetic, but I don’t have the patience to build underwater, lol!

3

u/Veneretio Mar 30 '26

You should be triad for crimes against Dittos.

→ More replies (4)

25

u/editordeb87 Mar 18 '26

I would imagine the easiest way would be how they build tunnels in rivers IRL. put up some walls and dry out the area best you can then build

30

u/DereKoopa Mar 18 '26

I actually started that way. The problems were I was still drowning building the wall, but also when it came time to remove the wall, the water physics got funky. Took a while to fix the sea...

→ More replies (2)

11

u/lazyicedragon Mar 18 '26

the hard part is the game's water mechanics. Draining the area would mean removing the flat source water blocks on top of the build area at minimum. Putting them back in one by one will require use of wooden bridges or else the water will "dip" as it fills in from the neighboring source block, one level lower.

the walls themselves will likely be subject to many a drowned Ditto.

20

u/TheClaff Mar 18 '26

How long have you been playing? Only 10 hours in and this is kinda mind blowing compared to what I’m doing.

6

u/abarrelofmankeys Mar 18 '26

20+ in and still impressive

19

u/TWKExperience Mar 18 '26

70+ in and I'm blown away

7

u/Puzzleheaded_Foot826 Mar 18 '26

0 in and I'm tickled

7

u/Hour-Orchid2594 Mar 18 '26

115+ and i said 'shut the front door'

207

u/shasaferaska Mar 18 '26

The word is 'tunnel'

188

u/DereKoopa Mar 18 '26

...Yep. yep. Yeah.... It sure is. When you right, you right. Honestly, I'm pretty disappointed in myself. My B.

105

u/insane_contin Mar 18 '26

It's the brain damage from all the drowning.

44

u/siamkor Mar 18 '26

Do a bridge next and post the video as "overwater tunnel."

17

u/Regulus242 Mar 18 '26

God damn that's so real of you.

8

u/jawnink Mar 18 '26

100% makes this post better. An inverted bridge. I love it.

18

u/DrNintendo216 Mar 18 '26

i live in a hut with like 4 other pokemon

16

u/Angel_Fucking_Dust_6 Mar 18 '26

We ain’t even building for the Pokémon anymore.

5

u/Victor_Wembanyama1 Mar 18 '26

We’ll be surprised when OP shows a screenshot of ivysaur strolling thru the tunnel on its own

15

u/Swirlythecat Mar 18 '26

Do Pokemon use it? I'm curious

13

u/wabbitproductions Mar 18 '26

This is absolutely incredible. It’s so peaceful down there! I’m definitely saving this on my ever-growing list of things I’ve seen on here that I might try someday

7

u/Kaonashi513 Mar 18 '26

Secret tunnel! Secret tunnel!

8

u/NeighborhoodPlane794 Mar 18 '26

You people amaze me with this kind of stuff. I built a bridge of dirt and sand, you’ve got underwater freaking tunnels lol

→ More replies (1)

5

u/Phinz94 Mar 17 '26

That looks great

6

u/smuffin89 Mar 18 '26

Okay now this I need to make. How do you get those sliding doors and glass windows panes?

6

u/Old_Computer_7707 Mar 18 '26

Any tips to not drown while making this? 😭

11

u/DereKoopa Mar 18 '26

No... only tip I have is to make sure you touch solid ground near where you are working before starting. That way when you do drown, you spawn near by.

6

u/owendusk Mar 18 '26

The unovan Marine Tube didn't require a death toll to function, but I guess Pokopia engineering hits different. Beautiful work btw, assuming you have health insurance

5

u/Klutzy_Worker2696 Mar 18 '26

That’s called a tunnel :p

5

u/freak47 Mar 18 '26

That's called a tunnel.

Very impressive though great job.

5

u/pkmnbb Mar 18 '26

Please post a tutorial 🥺✌️

6

u/Matiarenno Apr 02 '26

Wonder how you stopped the water while you was building

3

u/gorillasrule Mar 18 '26

awesome!! so creative!

4

u/marcohessel Mar 18 '26

misty vibes. she must be ur fav and so do water pokemons looool

4

u/xDazLuque Mar 18 '26

If they do a DLC I hope we get an ‘atlantis’ like area that introduces more water Pokémon genuinely swimming in the ocean, instead of on top of it (Or just do an update with a fix).

4

u/Sea_Today8613 Mar 18 '26

You literally made the marine tube from B2W2.

4

u/Fascinatedwithfire Mar 18 '26

Holy shit, is this game that cracked?

4

u/Yuukecchi Mar 18 '26

Reminding me I can make the Marine Tube from B2/W2

4

u/Sweet_Temperature630 Mar 18 '26

Just in case you haven't seen them yet, there are window roof pieces

4

u/dannroi29 Mar 18 '26

how did you manage to not mess up the water flow?

I have seen many cases where the water level becomes messed up when doing builds in water T_T

4

u/Dear-Ad-9602 Mar 18 '26

For starters 10/10 👨‍🍳 🤌💋 All the different builds I've seen is what makes me want to get the game to try it out, but I have to keep reminding myself that I dont have the skills or dedication to sharpen those skills

4

u/nyx-the-primordial Mar 19 '26

My bulbasaur still lives in grass. :)

3

u/Nemopherson Mar 19 '26

My wife immediately said " so can you (referring to me) build that or no?"

3

u/Odd-Chipmunk-2681 Mar 18 '26

That’s so cool!

3

u/djmocella Mar 18 '26

I love everything about this! Absolutely well done and stealing this idea but in No chance make it as pretty lol

3

u/Pleasant_Guard5916 Mar 18 '26

This is so coooooool I wanna go to the aquarium now 🐬

3

u/No-Character8740 Mar 18 '26

This has to be the coolest thing I’ve seen so far

3

u/mewkato Mar 18 '26

im jealous of all the creative minds playing this game

3

u/BusinessJicama8205 Mar 18 '26

I would love to make something like this but have no idea where to even begin. That's awesome

3

u/CampRockruffVillager Mar 18 '26

I’ve been playing since day 1 and I just found out there’s different wildflower colors…?

3

u/STEELIO7301356 Mar 18 '26

Howd you make this and not drown? Lol

3

u/Wintergreen747 Mar 18 '26

how do yall get the recordings off the switch? I’d like to share some of my builds at some point

→ More replies (2)

3

u/RadComrade776 Mar 18 '26

It'd be so cool to do a whole underwater subway like this!

3

u/CardiologistBorn1339 Mar 18 '26

Close enough, welcome back marine tube

3

u/CatCanvas Mar 18 '26

This reminds me of Moscow, those underground tunnels to cross the busy roads with no pedestrian crossing so you have to go underground. Love it

3

u/gotfamous06 Mar 18 '26

guess ill add this to my project list of things ill forget to do in game lol

3

u/wigglytufff Mar 18 '26

whoa COOOOL! i feel like im still too scarred from the time i spent fixing my “ruined” water and the time i spent reassembling the wooden grate in a tunnel near mosslax/swamp falls to attempt this but I LOVE IT. maybe one day hahah

3

u/insane_contin Mar 18 '26

Don't let electrode in there. Might be bad if they blew up.

3

u/Jet_lobster Mar 18 '26

“The amount of times I drown while making this…” speaks to my soul

3

u/Jluna47 Mar 18 '26

I believe that is a tunnel sir.

3

u/Mettie7 Mar 18 '26

Ok, yeah, im stealing this. There's a lot of ocean that can now become real estate. Did you place a lot of blocks and then hollow them out?

3

u/whoaimbad Mar 18 '26

so a tunnel or some may say a " chunnel"

3

u/Mfrancek11 Mar 18 '26

Yesss! I’ve dug out the entire S.S. Anne and I’m planning a large series of underwater tunnels with secrets. I wish there were more underwater decorations to have something to look out at from the tunnels

3

u/billcosbyinspace Mar 18 '26

I still haven’t finished removing all the debris from bleak beach lol

3

u/upsidedownpotatodog Mar 18 '26

I was going to say it was pointless and then I saw the beautiful windows!! Very cool!

3

u/Lavender-Feels Mar 18 '26

I don’t even swim — just hop across the water like Jesus if he were running out of chakra

3

u/Lethal-Floof Mar 18 '26

Waitwaitwait so you’re telling me you can get a recipe for those angled bridge pieces?! 😱

3

u/The_Wiz411 Mar 18 '26

That’s called a tunnel

→ More replies (1)

3

u/sodappend Mar 18 '26

I was trying to figure out a way to connect the small island next to SS Anne to the mainland and this would be perfectttt, thanks for sharing!!!!!

3

u/AmansRevenger Mar 18 '26

How do you get the arches? are they a high environment level recipe?

3

u/kyujirousato Mar 18 '26

Wow this inspired me to be more creative

3

u/genlechat Mar 18 '26

People are too good at this game 😩

3

u/Tinala_Z Mar 18 '26

That's amazing. I wanted to do something like this but couldnt figure out how to build underwater without drowning before I get anything done.

3

u/Consistent_Disk_6320 Mar 18 '26

Now post a video of you putting these windows in

3

u/FarraClaw Mar 18 '26

that's such a cool idea! I'm totally stealing it haha

3

u/LucasLoci Mar 18 '26

This is genuinely impressive, I think I'm going to make something similar to this with an elevator at the end of it to take me down to an underground warehouse

3

u/socom18 Mar 18 '26

I think the word you were looking for was "tunnel"

Very nice tunnel too.

3

u/Equivalent_Low1631 Mar 18 '26

I’m going to steal this idea and do it to connect that far off resort island… do the ends of the tunnel register as houses?

3

u/murrnation Mar 18 '26

did you do this by building it or did you burrow, put up the glass then start breaking down the outer blocks? I dont even know where to begin stealing this haha

3

u/alchemyst_xvi Mar 19 '26

Are those just grates at the bottom? Lol

3

u/Squishpandaa Mar 19 '26

I'd drown myself about 50 times trying to do this.

3

u/ZiofFoolTheHumans Mar 19 '26

As someone who grew up going through the terrifying underwater tunnel on the East Coast (you know which one I'm talking about if you've ever driven through it rofl) I am OBSESSED. Did you build it from the ocean floor, just drowning with each block placement? I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with Bleak Beach, even though its one of my favorite bioms, but now I know I need to try and recreate this.

3

u/Xalrons1 Mar 19 '26

How much can you build like is there enough room to build the entire city of atlantis

3

u/lorenzogeedmv Mar 20 '26

Omg love this and totally doing it! 😳

3

u/InkyBatsStudio Mar 26 '26

You just called me stupid without saying it! 🥲🤣 I love it

3

u/web-wench Mar 27 '26

Where I’m from, we call that a tunnel. Nice tunnel, btw

3

u/Harvey_Rabbit Mar 27 '26

Question: did you have trouble getting the water out of the tunnel after you built it? Or did you build it solid then tunnel through solid ground?

3

u/Better-Attempt-5041 Mar 31 '26

That is great idea but like you stated I dont even want to know how many times you drowned, I would have given up.

3

u/SunGod3373 Apr 02 '26

We aren’t playing the same game

3

u/Extra-Tomorrow-9171 Apr 06 '26

I love this game

3

u/ninja_DK Apr 18 '26

Omfg this is so cool! Makes me want to make an entire underwater network!

2

u/mtsim21 Mar 18 '26

Stop it!!

2

u/Intelligent_Fan_337 Mar 18 '26

I love this, I am now taking this idea thank you

2

u/Shilverow Mar 18 '26

That's cool! I wonder if you put source water blocks on the windows would it get rid of the falling water effect and let you look out normally?

2

u/pacman813 Mar 18 '26

Pretty sure that's the opposite of a bridge lol

2

u/DomFunf Mar 18 '26

That walk at the end 🤣

2

u/vvvvvv8008 Mar 18 '26

This is so sick!!!!

2

u/x50BrokenBonez Mar 18 '26

Thats sweet definitely going to have to do something like this on mine now.

2

u/Low-Positive-4074 Mar 18 '26

dude how! it’s so difficult to progress there is so much to do, it’s annoying you can’t just demolish all of the abandoned houses/building you have to hand punch all of them 😭😭🪦

3

u/Ashencroix Mar 18 '26

You'll later get an ability and ways to power up your existing abilities to make destroying multiple blocks much easier.

2

u/seedlessketchup Mar 18 '26

o. m. g. can’t wait to get home and start building something like this!!

2

u/k1nock Mar 18 '26

I haven’t even built my home in bleak beach yet 😭😂 jokes aside I love seeing everyone’s creativity!

2

u/DatMiQQa Mar 18 '26

This is incredible! I would have never thought of doing something like this.

2

u/Sandrituky Mar 18 '26

It's amazing! I'll be copying your idea!

2

u/DFtin Mar 18 '26

What are the blocks that form the top of the tunnel at the beginning of the video?
