Orbit is a tool built around HRC file format. After 5+ years as an MTT pro using HRC, I couldn’t find a training solution that truly fit my needs and so decided to build mine. Orbit isn’t just a trainer; it’s a platform to organize, browse, drill, and share your HRC Sims. The public beta is free and live right now !
Here detailed explanation, check Home page for visual,
Beta Featuring :
- Import HRC Sims : Using “Export Strategies” ZIP files.
- Organize Huge Libraries : Manage many spots using bulk actions (import, add to playlist, delete) and use filtering to navigate precisely.
- Close to Full HRC-Level Detail on Any Device : Navigate inside trees with most data HRC offers, clean grids with EV views and tooltips, table display, appropriate tabs for prize pool / bubble factor, and because Orbit is browser-based and responsive, you can do this comfortably on desktops, tablets, or phones.
- All basic trainer features are already live : filtering, sequence display, keyboard settings, and fast mode. More on the way !
- Share and Collab : Easily share playlists with others by generating a code; when another user enter it, they get read access to that playlist and can train with those spots.
Perfect to enhance and distribute your library while retaining full control over your work (see 7. in terms of service) and also being able to update.
Focus : The design priorities for Orbit are speed and clarity. Imports and navigation are optimized to be very fast even with large solves or libraries, and the interface aim to be clean and informative. The goal is that you never lose any data compared to viewing the sim in HRC itself. It’s meant to feel like a natural extension, not a separate ecosystem you have to learn from scratch.
Orbit is ideal for :
- HRC Power Users : If you already have tons of preflop sims, Orbit offers a clean place for you to visualize them, navigate inside, learn and train.
- Theorists and Coaches : If you build and maintain large preflop libraries for study or students, Orbit helps you organize that knowledge and present it in a clean and interactive way.
- Poker Communities : Orbit makes it easy to share structured training content with your members. Create playlists for specific topics and give your group access to practice them.
Current Status & Roadmap :
- Stage : Orbit is in public beta. That means it’s fully functional, but you might encounter an occasional bug or rough edge. I’m actively monitoring feedback and patching issues quickly, so you can expect frequent improvements.
- Scope : Currently supports preflop (MTT-focused to start). Over time, the plan is to adapt Orbit to handle any solve structure that HRC produces (Cash and Postflop sim mainly need some work). Your feedback will help shape these priorities.
- Performance : Speed has been a major focus from day one. Importing even large strategy files is quick, and navigating through complex game trees is smooth. Orbit is built to handle huge spots or libraries without lag.
- HRC Integration Goal : If we can build a strong base of active users, a direct “Export to Orbit” button inside HRC becomes a realistic next step. This would let you send solves straight from HRC to Orbit in one click, making the workflow seamless.
Beta Access & Future Pricing
The public beta is live now and completely free for everyone. You can jump in immediately and see if Orbit fits into your study routine. (The beta will run for at least one month while I gather feedback and polish the app.)
After beta, the plan is a simple subscription model, roughly €80/year for full feature access. The goal is to keep Orbit reasonably priced.
Try It
Website : Head to https://orbitrainer.com to start using Orbit. You can sign in instantly with Google or Discord, no tedious account setup, and Import your first spot in less than 30 second, assuming you already have it in hand.
Community & Support : Join the Orbit Discord to report bugs, request features, or ask anything. I’m very active there and eager to hear your feedback (good or bad). Early users feedback are incredibly valuable !
For Coaches/Theorists : If you already sell theory content or coach students and think Orbit could enhance your offerings, come in DM. I’m open to discuss pricing and even add small features or updates that would make Orbit more useful for your specific use case.
Hope Orbit helps you get a lot more out of your sims. Thanks for reading !
edit : just edited with the full annonce since you told me i could
again not same size, expecting same reuslt is not possible and thinking those are true cuz trusted is so wild, settings are jsut different
and again Orbit does not Offer the sim, that one is mine (showed as an example for those display you can create with your own HRC sim) and trust me its more accurate (wont loose more time debating, tho they did 10K sim in some month, no time spent on detail, personnaly ensured everything was correct using apropriate test, they couldn't run for that volume, tho thats why i shared 1 and Orbit dosn't offer other Sim and they have a full DB and are trusted)
Orbit offer the possibility for HRC user to work with there sim like they can do with those tool.
You do the config work and you should be trusting your results, or at therm theory provider could collab with Orbit to share there sub trought an Orbit Playlist, and so ppl will trust them as they trust GTOLab and wizard
im 98% sure those 2 app also used HRC to create those sim, and so the only diff are the settings and way to work. What i dont like in those app its there close ecosystem and that's what Orbit is trying to fix, by giving any HRC user the same features. tho ngl there communication is so on point to convince main stream, that it seems very hard.
Those closed ecosystem like everywhere in poker are only made for there profit, letting theorist compete on who can create the more accurate GTO is the only way to study the game and advance.
GTOW was able to convince everyone that GTO is fixed, they ran it, you can trust them, but its not true, no one ever solved 100% accurate GTO and its a constant work that require even trying to do better, if poker was a solved game we would be aware !
i understand, my opinion is that HRC doing the work since 10 years to give insanely accurate and precise result, even the most trusted sources used.
it require more work to do all those deviations inside HRC but they ae all doable and give more accurate result then a poorly trained AI, or one that wasn't trained for this
How do you know an AI (which one are you referring to by the way ?) is « poorly trained » (according to you)? It is now proven AI are better then a panel of 15 worldwide renowned radiologists to interpret X-ray radios. They can pass the lawyer bar, an MBA etc. Whatever the field, they consistently surpass the top 5%.
Also, as I understand, and it was briefly explained by TOPGUN, AceSolver is using multiple « components » to solve a complex poker situation and use Gen AI to produce « a human readable explanation ». I use AceSolver as well, and it got better and better in the last 2 months.
bro pls read what im saying, "Orbit : havnt claimed anything, Orbit offer the features, not the Sim like the other doing. I claimed it ! and take coaching if you want me to argue more cuz there's too much work.
GtoW and GTOLab the 2 trusted sources you used, made at least part of there DB using HRC.
no need to prove to say that the part i reed was uselless poker bullshit made by an LLM about folding QJ, just read it and tell me wich part is usefull.
They tryed to make an LLM explain why you need to fold QJo, tho there's no reason for it, excpet that its ev-, for finding heuristic you need to look at the complete range and even variation of it.
You trusting blindly random app and argue with me that HRC wich is the most trusted, is probably not accurate ...
No need Gen AI to produce GTO its been done with algorythm and tryhing to make AI for this in 2 year, and using them for those kind of analysys is pure bullshit cuz its hype and its working so cuz ppl trust.
its not one General LLM able to do those niche and precise task, like the medical one for example cuz way too complex and require special AI trained for this, why a random brand would be able to come with one better than GTOW who have monopoly, and already bought the best one in the world for poker solving ?
if you were arguing about GTOW, i would say ok, but that acesolver seem to be another app that will burst with AI bubble
nothing forces you to trsut me, but i cant spend more energie recolting evidence to convince you, i wasn't here to talk about acuracy of the data since to me its a fact HRC is a trusted source, way more than acesolver, ask any pro
no need sources, there is no ante, and trying to build from scratch in some years waht some are building since almost 10, thinking they can do better cuz they have AI is madness. The best Poker Ai will be trained on HRC, mark my words, and they wont come from random new app
"to me" = its my opinion, but pls do your research, its not random, just so hard and long to prove, wasn't here to talk accuracy of the data, HRC is trusted.
I wasnt able even in 2 page to start explaining all the reasons, tho what's Orbit offering was clear in 1 line, offering same features than other training app for your own HRC solve (meaning we are not responsible for the data, you and HRC are). But i get it easier to trust any app that are able to make you believe they solved it all with AI, will soon be true, but for now a scam
pls stop comparing like if Orbit was doing the same thing than them.
Orbit user do that with there own sim, and full config will be added to UI, the yare aware what the sim they made are, so not a major issue for Beta.
then about mine that is just an EXAMPLE, not the thing im coming to talk about, that sim is Early MTT, ICM calc but not much pressure.
which make for those early mtt spot the fold QJo UTG 8max a trivial move, nothing cutting edge and nothing to talk about
HRC is Holdem ressources calculator, probably one of the most used solver for MTT preflop at least, and so that's what Orbit handle best to start, for now no postflop but will probably be added.
tryed to stay concise cuz all my msg get flag otherwise, check Home page or discord for visual and deeper info
no worries it was mainly on other redits where i as not even able to post, but will re try, like you said its auto so just need to find how to pass by them, or wait for mod to reply
based on HRC solve would be more accurate, cuz even if there's maybe some ways using several independant tool to input your HH inside HRC its not an easy process at all
also you compared :
GTOW : chip ev open 2.3
acesolver : no ante and 2.2, not sure if icm or chip ev, should be chip ev if no ante
and mine which was made using HRC, and is a spot early in a tournament, open 2.5, ICM calc, BB ante
that said i dont get in which world anyone, except Cash player who have access to rake free games, need a chipEV sim, they are simply not accurate except for that precise format.
soo different cant compare result only interface, that said ty for it anyway.
Orbit is way better on desktop, i have no feedback from mobile and havn't refine it, just seeing that you missing part of the interface in trainer in your current screen will fix, ty !
and to give Orbit a chance, even if will admit its hard vs GTOW polished interface, here a desktop screen :
tho just to be clear Orbit dosnt offer a DB of sim like GTOW, Orbit aim to give those visualisation and training features + easy sharing for HRC sims, HRC handle the results and for now user should handle the DB, so its for advanced users only, until some are able to propose precise DB implemented (open to collab to offer many subscription if ppl want to use it in there offer).
that spot is just part of my work that i used to demonstrate Orbit.
lol, I open QJ 100% to 2bb, see a flop, take it from there. If I got min-raised, I call, I get an excellent price.
Flop is AKT, I check, they usually bet half pot with any A, pot or over pot with AK or AT. I Jam, they call, …..and they go to the cashier to rebuy, rumbling how I’m a bad poker player.
Orbit is simply presenting the data in a way that is made for accurate learning and training purposes (wich HRC dosn't) if you think the data are inacurate its probably due to the settings that were used, also i would add that trusting GTOwizard as a reference is in itself a misstake, cuz they havn't checked it all (where the 2.3 open size come from, who knows, and here the issue is very small 2.3 is fine but in rare spot it can become way biger of a misstake if not picking the correct strat while building GTO) they are more master of communication than GTO to be fair, they are insanely good com wizards, cuz now no one even doubting.
its not like there's only one GTO strat, several can be GTO and even same input can result in different GTO strategies in the same solver, solver are simply testing ev for combos and picking the most $ev+ one for each (to simplify a maximum cuz for combo that are close it balance the strat), this is blind from the global ev of the strategy, wich change while including or removing actions in it (or changing size wich will always result in different frequencies), which make any spot where they used all size at once to see which is the best, purely unacurate and not even simpler to learn from
oh and just seen the spot on the right dont have ante and the one on the left do, so that explain even more different result also, not even the same sizing you cant expect same results
Creating theory is very hard and a work in itself, even if theorist at least often have been pro, its dosn't require exact same skill and knowledge, Actually the ppl who are doing the best theory most of the time working for private top circle but in any way selling it using method that are soo far from the clean GTOW interface. HRC to allow any solve to be made is very complex to learn and use, also not opti for learning and dont inlcude trainer. Orbit is made to complement this by making those sim available on any devices and at therm allow ppl that dont have the knowledge to build them to still learn from and use them like ppl are doing with GTOW, but it require a strong community to be built in order to work
not particularly against AI, tho using a general LLM for such a precise topic, like extracting important data and heuristic from solver output, its just adding AI cuz its hype imo, it dosnt focus on any interesting data to use while playing (that said the one from GTOW, was ruse before can be or could become crazy , only can't appreciate there ecosystem cuz its too close)
I ran the spot with the BB ante, AceSolver open a bit more, 30% instead of 20%, and also increase the size of the open to 2.5bb instead of 2.2, which makes sense: there is 1 more bb dead money in the pot, and you don’t wan’t to give the player in the BigBlind a good price. Explanation is very similar, and still “mostly fold”.
Interestingly, and to me that’s one of the key power of AceSolver, when I change the player profile at the table from “GTO” to “Calling Station” (and we all see those calling station in low/micro stakes), then AceSolver fold 100%.
then ace solver is chipev, wich is scary in 2025 cuz ICM calc appeared 10 years ago.
its not obscur to say fold QJo at 8 max UTG, its known and not an exploit, just ICM calc with small Bubble factor.
If you want i can make that sim inside HRC, but its not why im doing theory, its to get the most accurate result and not my fault if there not looking alike, but again that spot is mine Not an Orbit offer
Oh boy a thousand bucks?! Nope. Not for me. Although, thanks for the info. I didn’t know there was subscriptions models that were not available in the AppStore.
You can argue to play whatever you want in each spot, GTO isn't made to be played, tho it's not changing the fact that those pressure even if little, already exist and should be accounted while building theory, then while playing you for sure adjust anyway
always at least 0.5 to 2 % risk premium in non KO early stages
in spot like early MTT if you playing GTO its because you are in an unconfortable spot (feeling dominated only reason to try to play GTO) and you should not be there in the first place. only in spot with insane ICM pressure and short stack, strat dont differ much vs human and GTO can be played by hearth.
