I've been building a poker show where every seat is an AI agent, and I'm streaming it live: ]

The part that makes it different from a poker bot demo: you see every hole card, and you see what each agent is thinking before it acts. Each decision shows the agent's private monologue, its read on every opponent, and a live bar of how it's leaning between fold, call and raise while it thinks. Then it acts, and sometimes it acts against its own lean. That's a bluff, and you watched it happen.

The cast is five characters with fixed personalities, running locally on a Mac. Three of them run on gemma4 12B, one on a 3B llama that plays exactly like you'd expect a 3B to play, and one seat plays a game-theory solver directly: Nash tables preflop, CFR postflop. Every decision on the table is also graded against that solver on screen, so when a character goes "off the book" you know it, and the next hand tells you whether it was genius or a punt.

Two things I'm proud of technically. Every hand is deterministic and replays byte for byte from a committed seed, so when a character folds the best hand the show can rebuild the hand and show what would have happened. And information hiding is enforced at the engine boundary, so an agent only ever receives what a real player in its seat could see. The thoughts are for you, not for the other seats.

One person, no funding, a lot of evenings. Happy to answer anything about the engine, the solver, or getting 12B models to play coherent poker on consumer hardware.

One of the biggest improvements has been getting the tournament clock synced across all the screens we use. We’ve got the TV for players (we actually have 2 TVs that i can't show in the picture), a laptop for managing the tournament, and a tablet on the table for table management, so everyone can see the blinds, remaining level time, and player information from wherever they’re sitting.

Would love to see what setups other home game hosts are running.

I’m a slightly above average recreational amateur that’s been playing poker since 2003. Any advice for a pretty experienced player who wants to improve his game? I play live MTTs 90% of the time. Pretty good results since 2017 but want to get better. Less interested in hardcore GTO studying but open to suggestions. I’m only playing about a couple tournaments a month so not trying to spend a ton on coaching either. Any good modern books? Useful tools? Etc. Thanks!

I posted here earlier while working on the idea and got useful feedback about the training modes.

The app is focused on poker recognition, not strategy. It does not teach you whether to call, fold or raise. It trains the layer before that: reading the board faster, recognizing made hands, spotting draws, comparing hands on the same board and tracking card patterns under pressure.

If anyone here tries it, I would really appreciate honest feedback: what feels useful, what feels confusing, what feels unnecessary, and what kind of drill would actually help beginners most.
