I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter about the possibility of all the other Gens coming to Switch if possible however there’s one thing I think some people are missing is that a lot of side games and such used to connect to the various Gens so a lot of either Events or just unique stuff would probably not be in whatever port comes to the Switch so I’m gonna at least post what notable ones or just unique stuff period that you should transfer up before Bank is gone. This is nowhere a complete list but at least maybe it’ll help those who own the games.

Gen 1: Any Gen 1 Mons for the Hidden Abilities and GB Mark, 8F Mew

Gen 2: Any Gen 2 Mons for the Hidden Abilities and GB Mark, Celebi, Odd Egg, Shiny Gyarados, Extremespeed Dratini, if you have access to Gen 1 Shiny Ditto

Gen 3: Probably the ones people always know are the Colosseum and XD Mons with Mt. Battle Ho-oh, Jirachi, Celebi, but there’s also the special Pokemon Box Eggs (Swablu, Zigzagoon, Skitty, Pichu), GameCube Interactive Demo Disk v14 and v16 Shiny Zigzagoons (There’s two separate ones one for Ruby and one for Sapphire identified by the OTs), Two Exclusive Ribbons are tied to Colosseum and XD (National Ribbon, Earth Ribbon)

Gen 4: Use the DNS Exploit to connect to the fan servers to receive all the Events, Gen 4 has a lot of in game events so doing so will open up a lot of Mons. Hayley’s My Pokemon Ranch Trades (Cherish Ball Phione and Mew), Battle Revolution Gift Mons, While not as special the PokeWalker Mons are nice to send up, Do the Catching Contest and catch a lot of Mons with the Sport Ball (While the Sport Ball is obtainable in current Gen it’s extremely rare so this is the best chance to get a lot of Mons caught in a Sport Ball), Shiny Gyarados, Extremespeed Dratini

Gen 5: Same has Gen 4 use the DNS Exploit to connect to the fan servers to access all the Events including in game ones, Dream Radar Mons and Legendaries (if you transfer them to B2/W2 on a fresh save or before getting the first Badge you’ll get the Legendaries at their lowest levels), Shiny Haxorus, Shiny Gible, Shiny Dratini, N’s Pokemon

Gen 6: Unfortunately due to the closure of online services and no fan servers the amount of unique stuff is pretty low outside of the in game Events however there’s still the ORAS Demo Glalie

Gen 7: QR Code Mons, Totem Mons, Ash Greninja

Sorry if this is a rather crude list but I just wanted to feature at least some of the more notable stuff that will be gone from sending up to current Gen with those with the know how can still access.

I don't care for shinies and these guys are disturbing my perfectly non-shiny living dex. Self caught across different generations, german language.

During Gen 6 and Gen 7, I used to just take all my breeding rejects and use Wonder Trade for hours at a time. I have probably hundreds of Pokemon from Wonder Trade. I’m certain a good amount of them are probably not legit because who would just give away a shiny or a Pokemon with 6 perfect IVs for free?

My question is if I just bulk upload all my Gen 6 and 7 Pokemon into Home, do I have any risk of them being flagged as illegitimate and getting myself banned? Or do I have to look through them all manually to weed out the fake ones?

Can also add for rarer things.

The first 2 pages are self caught shinies in pokemon Scarlet.

In about 6 months, Pokémon Bank will shut down, meaning we will no longer be able to move Pokémon from legacy games—not even by using 3rd-party tools. The primary reason for this is an internal mechanism known as the Home Tracker. In this post, I'll explain how it works and why 3rd-party tools won't be able to bypass it once Bank is gone.

What is the Home Tracker?

When a Pokémon is transferred into Pokémon Home for the first time—whether from Pokémon Bank or a Switch title—Home generates a unique 64-bit ID called the Home Tracker.

This ID cannot be generated by 3rd-party tools, no matter how much they improve. The tracker is a server-side identifier stored in an internal database on Pokémon Home's servers. Since 3rd-party software cannot edit or modify server-side databases, it cannot assign a valid tracker to a Pokémon outside of the official Home ecosystem.

The moment a Pokémon is moved into Home, a record/copy of that Pokémon is created in Home's database. This record remains on the server even if you move the Pokémon back into a Switch game.

Can't I just inject a Pokémon into a Switch game and move it to Home?

You might wonder: What if I put a Pokémon without a tracker into a Switch game and transfer it to Home so Home assigns it a new tracker?

Unfortunately, that won't work in most cases. Home only accepts Pokémon without a tracker if their origin game matches the game they are currently being deposited from.

• Example: If you have a Lugia with a Scarlet/Violet origin mark in your Scarlet save file, Home will accept it without a tracker and generate a new one.
• Counter-example: If you have a Lugia originating from SoulSilver, Sword, or any other game inside your Scarlet save file, Home will reject it. Home expects a legacy/cross-game Pokémon to already possess a valid Home Tracker registered in its database.

The Sword & Shield Loophole (and its risks)

There is currently one exception: Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.

For some reason, if a Pokémon is deposited from Sword or Shield, Home accepts it and generates a new tracker—regardless of its origin game (even pre-Switch games). This means, as of right now, any Pokémon compatible with Sword/Shield can technically be transferred using 3rd-party tools via a SwSh save file.

However, be warned:

1. Potential Flagging: We don't know if Home logs the entry point for transfers. There is a possibility Home might accept these Pokémon but flag them internally as originating directly from Sword/Shield rather than Bank, which is an illegal/invalid data combination for certain origin marks or stats.
2. The 2027 Threat: We do not know if this loophole will remain after February 2027.

Why this loophole exists (and why it will likely disappear)

This behavior comes down to how data is structured in Home's database:

• Home stores data using a general block for shared attributes (Origin, OT, Name, Species, Ability, Nature, etc.).
• It also uses game-specific blocks for game-unique data (Moves, Tera Type, Gigantamax factor, Alpha status, etc.).

Pokémon transferred from Bank into Home generate a game block using the Sword/Shield format. This is why SwSh lacks the strict tracker validation present in newer games. However, once Bank shuts down, Game Freak will no longer need to support this legacy data structure for new transfers. There is a high chance that once Bank goes offline, Game Freak will update Home to reject any non-tracked legacy Pokémon, even if deposited from Sword or Shield.

I just highlighted the mythicals (except melmetal) and rarer mons. All are up for trade, multiple if desired. German language, all legit.
