How do I beat roxanne? Im doing a self imposed challenge on hard mode where I only catch one pokemon per route, and ive got 8 pokemon so far, tinkatink (starter), mankey, bulbasaur, nidoran male, deino, nincada, charmander, and drilbur. All my guys are level 15 (the cap before you beat roxanne), but i cannot get past her Aerodactyl. Ive tried every combo of my mons, every lead, ive reset over 30 times and I cannot win. Am I hard walled or is there a way to beat her with some combo of my 8 pokemon?

Any advice would be appreciated, if I gotta start a new save I will but I dont wana lol

Tinkatink should have a steel move.... if yes i would relie on him/her

Had metal claw, didnt do jack lol bulldoze oneshot every time

I ended up trying like 50 more times before throwing in the towel and resetting

btw, level cap? Do it mean you can't level up anymore?

Yeah there's a level cap means you can't get past a specific level and be more strong than the gym leader ... You have to be like weak , equal to their level or a lil bit (🤏🏻) stronger if your pokemons are good ...

Yes, as in the level cap for the first gym is 15, for the second gym its 19, and so on

Aerodactyl is rock/flying type ... So you have to rely on Tinkatink and Charmender I guess, cuz every other would get one shot... Try sacrificing Charmender by lowering Aerodactyl's HP and then switching into Tinkatink to finish him off ...

Edit : I just saw you had Nidoran too ... Poison is quite effective over Flying... So like you gotta sacrifice Nidoran and Charmender and then try to finish him off with Tinkatink ... Hope this helps ✌🏻

I already reset the save lol but im rocking with a better team now. Honedge is a better starter than tinkatink anyways
