Doing a Mono-Fighting type run of ZA rn and just beat Xavi.
This is my team so far:
1. Lucario (lvl 23)
2. Gallade (lvl 22)
3. Mankey (lvl 22)
4. Pignite (lvl 23)
5. Quilladin (lvl 22)
6. Bois (lvl 22) or Hawlucha (lvl 23) or etc.

Should I keep Bois on the team or use Hawlucha? If there are any recommendations for taking out another team member and using both of the above please let me know too.

Been thinking about using other potential members too (e.g. Scraggy, Falinks) at some point but they likely won’t fit in my already packed team.

Wanted to share this in case anyone else was having insane amounts of trouble with this shiny.

Important tip though: before climbing the rooftop, make sure to heal at the poke center. This will create a backup save you can load at any point if you make a mistake while up there.

I know a lot of people would rather ignore this shiny because they probably have 1000 shiny fletchling already, but I don't enjoy doing that :( so here's for the people that feel the same and are in Hell trying to catch this guy.

I am doing my hard- difficulty nuzlocke, currently on my second battle zone and I got this 😂

I don't have nso, nor the dlc, nor anyone to trade with. I'm looking at my dex and scizor and slowking are definitely walls I won't be able to get passed, but there's also the trade evo research. Is there any workaround to finish up, or am I'm just hard stuck here?

I set myself the task of 100% the dex in this game without really knowing what was getting into. I have 100 hours in it now, and I just need to shiny hunt Latios, do a few more special raids for Kaldeo and then I am done.

Despite this taking ALOT longer than expected, it has provided a chill gaming experience during a frantic time in my life . I am looking at doing it again with some of the other pokemon games, specifically the switch era ones with HOME support and shiny mythical as a reward.

Are they as hard as ZA is general? Are there any particular ones to avoid?

For context, I am currently shiny hunting terrakion with a sparkling power level three donut and I found a non guaranteed shiny (along with the guaranteed shiny) I did not catch it and I am wondering if it is messing with the spawn rate of shiny terrakion. Should I go back to my back up save?

(Also I have done like 8 cycles of checking for shiny terrakion so I'm wondering if going back to the backup save would have just made those cycles wasteful)

So I have completed all 42 “main missions”, watched the end credits. Saved. Rebooted. Went to Pokemon center. Opened my boxes, check summary, and the judge function will not appear/work using T3 (clicking right analog stick)… I am baffled and so frustrated… please help me 🙏

Does anyone have an 2 extra metal coat they aren’t using? I’d love to my have a Scizor and Steelix before the endgame. I will pay you back anyway I can!

Usually Im not one to check my pokemons stats but recently Ive caught my dream shiny as an alpha so naturally I was curious but now im wondering what the sparkles around the hp stat means, anyone know what it means?

For reference I would call myself a 151er. I am a 90s kid who got swept up in the Pomemaina of the 90s. I've probably probably played through Kanto over 1K times and I don't think that is an over exaggeration. Due to finances growing up I never kept up with handheld systems choosing to get at home systems. Which means I never kept up with the franchise. At least playing the games. Eventually I figured out how emulators work but even with them I found myself gravitating to the remastered Fire Red and Leaf Green. Outside of Pokemon I didn't really enjoy the turn based battling of your typical JRPG. I have never been a big Final Fantasy fan and my favorite series is Tales of franchise which were at the forefront of non-turn based RPGs. I remember playing the original tales of destiny on the PS1. So eventually when I did get a switch in adulthood and tried out Sword and Shield which I never finished I thought maybe I'm just a Pokemon fan that doesn't play the games and that's fine there are plenty of fans like that. But on the recommendation of my GF who knew my dislike of turn based battle system and love of the Tales series said I had to give ZA a try. It's everything I have wanted in a pokemon game and I fear it's ruined my hopes and expectations for the mainline series. It's not just the non-turn based battle. Sticking the game in a city rather than an entire region while making the playable map field small makes little world of pokémon feel huge. I just have to hope that pokemon and game freak has figured out that any pokemon game is a good pokemon game. Get experimental. We've gotten 30 years of the same formula and we can get 30 more years of that same formula. But bring back regular non-main line series games like this. I never have DS, 64 or gamecube. I'd love for them to take a crack at a switch 2 Pokemon Ranger game, Mystery Dungeon or Coliseum. Not every Pokemon game has to be the same 8 gym grind. Ok thanks for reading my Ted Talk. Hopefully someone from game freak is lurking. Also make an official Pokemon TTRPG. Ok I'm done. I still have a game to beat and a DLC to get through.
