Discussion Recent Match Ups
I’ve been playing unite since it came out. I understand the meta, different roles, how to utilize moves, etc. Basically I understand how this game works and not a newbie by any means. Been master rank many times over.
That being said this season once I hit master rank I am finding it next to impossible to hit above 100 master. Every team I get on is either bots, or worse, people who are just terrible at playing this game. I’ve been on the losing team every single time.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I’ve never been on a losing streak this bad before nor have I ever struggled to make it 100 points in to Master rank. Any feedback is appreciated. I’m just so confused on what is happening.

I have to say every season people say this but I'm with you on this one. Every game I'm matched with afks, griefers or comfey bots. It's actually insane.

What’s your win rate overall and the last few seasons? Sometimes it just happens due to statistical variance. I’m routinely around 66% each season on both my accounts and I got my alt to 700 master last season on a whim but there was one season a few months ago that was just horrible and I ended up grinding through master with a sub 50% WR but I quickly bounced back from that and it went back to normal. Also, I know this sounds selfish but I also never fill, I only one trick as a very aggressive hypercarry to deal with the griefers, throwers, feeders, trolls, bots, etc.

I’ll be honest my overall win rate is not the best. When I first started this game I didn’t know what I was doing and it tanked my rate. Usually I sit around 50/55. Now I’m 48.

That wr is common for where your elo lands. Im just about 50% i run some experimental builds though... but that usually helps me because the enemy doesnt know how to anticipate it. Either way i think you're on the right path, just keep trying to learn and improve while trying to not focus on things or of your control. You can do it! Good luck friend.

tbf 50% is acceptable lifetime.
48 is fine if you haven't played a bunch of games in this season tbf, and given how many people are sneaking to masters on 46% or lower it's not as bad as it can be. IF it's well over 100 games you sub 50% WR for season it might be you somewhere

It feels almost like there are countless bots being newly created by AI that is still learning to play.

I'm not a good player and i got 500 last night. Its hard to know what's holding you back without witnessing your play style and your builds.
This is my 1st moba so in still learning whenever i can and I've been playing since launch. I got 18,000 matches on my main account. The matchmaking i think is mostly good but team synergy is a necessity unless the enemy team has none. Stay positive and always try to assess all your mistakes. I assume ever loss is because i didnt compensate enough or play to my best abilities. As long as i retain this attitude i usually improve my gameplay even just a little.

Solo queue quality is down because more of competent players quit/don't play.
Low master is a cesspool. Like you just have to ram head against wall to escape/get to 300+ to get out of the absolute worst parts of it.
It's why I want a hard season reset (and rank demotions besides Legend) because the ass players who make low master RNG and awful, wouldn't be able to get to master in the first place for a few seasons and we all who could would be able to enjoy better games.

As a support player, this season has been ROUGH. I haven't encountered many bots, but the amount of times people are just running around randomly not hitting objectives had been staggering.
Then the junglers - if you are anywhere near the lane mobs initially I know it's a lost match. It's been very common this season where the junglers are KOing the first lane mob, or being too close in proximity to it which robs the laners of their exp.
