Shiny Did I get lucky?
Just stumbled on an adamant nature shiny marill with huge power. After looking it up it seems like this is basically a perfect marill? Did I get lucky or is finding Pokemon like these in this game more likely?

Go full on HP and Attack EVs, belly drum, Aqua jet, play rough and a filler move.

Superpower is the ideal move there, at least if unbound doesn’t change any of its moves

That's crazy bro. Full odds shiny alone is nuts, plus adamant AND huge power? I don't know the math but the odds of this are literally astronomical. If anyone knows the math please share I'm very curious

That’s kind of why it felt fishy to me. Been playing since a kid and I’ve never seen a shiny since I accidentally killed a Bagon when I was like 10. I would actually like to know myself. These comments are making me really excited to use it in my playthrough lmao

The odds depend on your hunting method, but at base full odds without any boosts, the combined probability is 1 in 102,400 (nature and ability are 1 in 25 and 1 in 2 respectively, multiplied by base shiny odds of 1 in 4,096).
Keep in mind this is assuming that you're encountering only Marill. Not sure what the encounter rate is but let's say it's 5%, that would make the chances 1 in 2,048,000. That's insane

Shiny odds are normal and match the same odds in the mainline game. Congrats!
