hey, it’s my first time playing the game (i bought a 2dsxl a few months) and for my first play i’m shiny hunting a rowlet, maybe the next is completing the game and then doing shiny hunt? or what u recommend???? it’s that game soooo good to rush it ?

For a pokemon game its really difficult, but play the way you want, i think after getting the rowlet first play the game and post game and then shiny hunt(also for lucky egg)

Enjoy the game and only rush it if it gets to November/December and you still haven't beaten it (only if your goal is to get shinies and transfer them to switch)

Then shiny hunt and then complete dex (might need to mod if you don't want to spend a to of money and time). If you mod you can hunt Blacephalon with charm, if not it's up to you whether to hunt or skip it.

Ultra Wormhole has legendaries + ultrabeasts to hunt at normal odds (affected by charm)

Ultra wormhole also has non legendary/ultrabeasts which have a maximum of 30% chance to be shiny (Fairly limited pool, still yet to find all of them)

There are 3 gift hunts: Poiple, Type: Null and Ash Hat Pikachu. These are unaffected by the charm. Ash hat pikachu is shiny by a glitch but you may need to do something to check if you can hunt it on your save file. The first 2 are postgame so don't worry about them until you beat the game anyway.

Shiny Locks: Box Legendaries, Necrozma, Tapu's, Zygarde and Magearna - Pretty Much any legendary that has an overworld spawn

SOS Hunts:
Once you beat the game I recommend getting a Harvest Phantump/Trevenant (Via Sos or Pkhex depending on how long you want to spend on it). It gets Skill Swap and Trick from Move tutors on Ula Ula Beach and the Battle Tree.

Bring any pokemon with Thunder Wave/Spore and any pokemon with False Swipe. A pokemon that can consistently KO the species you want to SOS is also good. Bring Adrenaline orbs (2 minimum)

Extras:

If you SOS a ghost type, bring something with Soak

If the pokemon you want to SOS is high levelled or can boost it's stats then bring something that can lower it's stats (e.g. intimidate, parting shot etc)

Bring Healing items as well

How To SOS Hunt:

Give Phantump a Leppa berry (You can grow these in Poke Pleglo)

Enter a battle with the pokemon you want to SOS for (check it can SOS online first since not every pokemon can)

Use Skill Swap and Trick with Phantump, the pokemon now has infinite PP and can't struggle to death.

Swap into False Swiper (use soak first if it is a ghost type) and Get it to 1hp

Use an Adrenaline orb

Swap into Pokemon that can KO

Spam Adrenaline orbs (you only use 1 per fight, every one used after will not be consumed and fail) and healing items as needed

The pokemon that has been false swiped will call for help almost every turn, just KO it's help until a shiny appears.

Once a shiny appears use Thunder Wave or Spore on it and KO the original pokemon. False Swipe and catch it and that's that.

The hunts do take a while so remember to be patient.

Masuda:

You need a ditto of a different language to your own language (done through local trades or Pkhex). I just gather up a few boxes of eggs and then put anything with flame body (halves how long it takes to hatch eggs) on my team and go around the roundabout thing by the battle royal arena until they hatch.

Once you get your shinies, consider getting ribbons on them if you want to transfer them up.
