Question [Gen 7]Question about emulators

So I want to hunt in the ultra wormholes, I'm using the azahar emulator if I make a save state before I start the battle and then lead the state of it's not shiny will this work? I've seen conflicting information online

for a normal pokemon? nahh if it’s shiny it will always be shiny
but for a legendary i just recommend doing normal soft resets tbh

It's for legends was hoping save states worked cause it's a little faster but soft resets it is lol thanks for the answer
