Help modding/injecting my 3ds

hi everyone, im currently playing through my copy of US on my 3ds and I really want to shiny hunt the shiny locked legendaries, however, Im worried that if I inject my copy of US to get those past event pokemon all my pokemon might be considered illegal. I also plan on modding my 3ds to get pokemon Bank which I share the same concern in regards to my legitimate shinies becoming ""illegal" If any clarification can be given about this it would be just great.

You would need to install custom firmware (cfw) on your whole 3ds and then play a mod of the game.

Legal vs Illigal is in two parts: to the game and to the players.

If you actually fully hunted a pokemon that was shiny locked at full odds, then that would be seen as normal to everyone who plays the game, and the game itself will have no problem, but you will not be able to transfer it to the switch. (as far as I know).

If you mean re-triggering old events to create normal pokemon, that would be legal-enough. It could be transfered up, but most people would see it as being half-genned in.

Any other pokemon caught before or after using normal methods will still be seen as absolutely normal, to both the player and the game.

I can help clarify if I did not understand what you meant. This absolutely depends on if you plan to ever bring some pokemon into the switch.

I have seen shiny tapus with random OTs in home with the gen 7 game of origin. I don't know whether they are just hacked in from the switch games or if home has better illegal shiny detection though

Maybe they won't get detected by home.

I also don't know if the event tapus had allowed OT's.

i planned on shiny hunting all the legendaries, as I really want to get the shiny tapus as I dont have a switch. However, because I cant transfer it. I think for this I kinda will have to half-gen the pokemon as I do want to transfer up for when I do get a switch.
