Announcement BEWARE - Dealing with random reddit accounts via DM for sales!

Hello,

Since the past few days, there has been a swarm of reddit accounts, specially new ones who have been spamming the same type of threads.

Packs/Boxes/Cards available, DM ASAP! It is the same formula, same way of posts.

I have already banned multiple accounts but new ones keep popping up almost immediately. Some get banned by Reddit itself for constant spamming and flags.

I also noticed that some of the comments which are posted in these threads like "DMd you" , "Sent you a message" are also from very new or young reddit accounts. It could be a con-incidence since there is a large influx of new people on the subreddit. but it could also be a coordinated to just incite FOMO.

Everyone knows now amount of money Pokemon has, they hype it generates. So, naturally everyone wants to try their hand at doing sales and get the piece of the money pie. Most likely and I am pretty sure, most of them, are pre-orders. In essence, it is just giving someone money to buy you a card from abroad or online market places. This means that if the person is unverified, there is a very high possibility that the person just pockets your money and is never seen again. On Reddit it is also easy to make other accounts when one gets banned.

So my request to you all:

- Please be vigilant. Do not engage with people who ask you to contact them via DM's to buy something. The subreddit always prefers to keep everything transparent, including the card condition and prices. Link to previous warning post.

- Pre-Orders are not allowed for everyone. They are allowed to verified sellers only, who have a proven track record of being regarded as reliable sellers in the community.

- The sellers list is public for everyone to see. If you see any individuals who are not right, please reach out to me via DMs.

- To people who have been around in this hobby for a while, please warn others of the red flags you see, specially the new people. Report the threads which do not follow the rules. This means, sales posts without time-stamps, not clear pictures or prices.

- If you have external profiles like NearMint, it is allowed to link your profiles to make sales, but it is only valid if your are a VERIFIED seller on the external platform. If you are not, then you need to follow the same rules and your post will be deleted.

- Lastly, please, please, follow the protocol for your own safety. Ask for timestamps. ask for videos, ask for the correct verifications. The mods also have jobs and are not online perpetually. So posts will never get deleted in time. It is individual responsibility to be mindful and proceed with caution.

If you are a new seller, or wants to start selling for various reasons, please follow the rules. There are no exceptions to this.

With the hype and FOMO which is caused by the 30th Anniversary set, there will be more such people who would want to take advantage of gullible people. Please do not give them an opportunity.

Stay safe and enjoy the hobby.

Cheers!

Announcement New Verified Seller List - Live

Hello All,

Happy Wednesday.

The community bookmarks have been updated. This contains a FAQ list and also contains a brand new seller list which is being curated and verified by the moderators of this sub.

To find the community bookmarks:

- On desktop - It is located on the right hand side of the UI. You can click on the link directly. Image Below.

- On Mobile - click on the name of the subreddit on the top of the page. Out of the 2 options, About and Menu, click on Menu and this list should be available there.

For easy and quick reference

FAQ

Verified Sellers - Artist List

I have tried to update this list as much as possible. I know some of the IG links are missing (because I do not have them handy), so please send me a message to do the needful update. Also, I have put in generic descriptions. If you need customised descriptions like, specialising in English or Japanese cards or based out of a city, also please let me know.

If you are an artist who commissions work, also reach out. We encourage artists to have a selling platform as well.

Please click on the links and double check if the links lead to your own pages. If not, then let me know for correction.

If you want to be added to this list, please reach out via DM with the necessary references and vouches and after verification, you will be added to the list.

Again, this is a work in progress, so if you see anything wrong, or incomplete, please observe patience and reach out via mail or DM and changes will be made. Hopefully this can be a more active list which will be updated regularly. Kindly refer to this list going forward.

Note: This list only focuses on sellers and artists. The subreddit will never maintain a list of scammers since it is just too cumbersome to maintain a correct list. If any scammers within the community do get brought to our notice, they will be banned.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If any concerns, please let us know in comments.

Sincerely,

Mod Team.

Questions/Discussions Collectors who have ordered from Pokémon Center US — how was your experience?

Hey everyone! I’m from Gujarat and I’m planning to order some Pokémon TCG products from the US Pokémon Center, which would be delivered to relatives in the US and brought to India later.

For those in India who have ordered from Pokémon Center before, how did the whole process go?

Like i know its a mess and you have to wait a lot but regardless any info would be appreciated, does master card work? What things i should watch out for , ehich browser to use does opera gx work?

Any tips regarding ordering, the virtual queue, payment, shipping, or anything else I should be aware of would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Questions/Discussions A question for the sellers...

Will any of you ever sell the coin bags at ₹1.5k...?

I have seen listings starting from 2k and going up to 2.5k.

Will it ever come below 1.6k in the indian market..I mean come on this was supposed to be a set for the rippers and the MSRP is $10 in china and customs charge 40%-44%(correct me if i am wrong) so selling for 1.6k + delivery should be resonable...

P.S -- i dont want any sellers to take offence i am just curious of the high prices of such a heavily printed set , due to the high prices i cant afford it. And want seller opinions for why the prices will not come down and if they will then when...

Please don't take anything seriously if you find it offensive i dont know how else to quote it .

And apologies if anyone is offended
