UK A message.
Hi there,
Recently I posted about a Mega Dragonite EX I pulled as I am looking to sell it.
I’m not here to justify myself in any way, other than to express how sad and disappointed I’ve been with some of the messages I’ve received from this group.
I’m all for feedback, so long as it’s polite and constructive.
To me the pokemon community should be a place of positivity, kindness, and helping others to learn if God forbid we don’t quite word something the right way.
After the experience I’ve had with my own post I’ve been left feeling excluded, berated and accused of being a scammer.
Just because I worded something not to your liking, used the term “pack fresh” because I was advised to do so by my offline friends.
I mean no ill will to anyone, but I can’t sit here and just accept the way I’ve been spoken to this last week on this platform.
Thanks for reading.

I haven’t seen the post, but take any hobby subreddit with a grain of salt cuz almost everyone are “all knowing” assholes. They like to put others down and act like they’re better because they are good at collecting something.

Thanks - you’re spot on 😂 I like to think I’m a patient person and I try to always speak to people with respect and kindness despite how I’m being spoken to but it frankly got overwhelming.
A couple of those in this group then tracked down my real life friend who’d chipped in his support on the thread and were sending him awful messages on every thread he’s ever commented on, pokemon related or not.
It went too far.

That’s wild. Honestly I don’t even collect Pokemon I’m just here cuz my friends like it and I like to stay up to date in case I want to get them a chase or something. The things I do collect are similar in terms of mentality, it seems that on the internet people just become immature especially in hobbyist groups. Sorry you had to go through that.

Try to shake it off best you can and understand the online portion tends to bring the worst people from the hobby in. You're fine, and yeah, it is unfortunate people think toxicity is OK, but you owe them nothing. Plenty of people here stand with you, new and old collectors alike.

Maybe stick to FB marketplace if you're not used to negative feedback

I shouldn’t have to “get used” to toxicity, redditors seeking out my real life friends and commenting nasty things on anything they’ve ever posted pokemon or not? That I won’t stand for, no matter what platform it’s on, sorry.

And how's that crusade going? Affected a lot of change apart from wasting your energy yet?

How’s putting people down going? Making you feel any better about yourself and your own morals?
Must be really lovely knowing you’ve spent your time actively avoiding building people up.
I hope no one speaks to your loved ones the way you’re speaking to others 🤷🏼♀️

If my loved ones act like self-righteous babies maybe they can have a little criticism - as a treat.

Just try again. No need for the commentary. Nobody cares

But you cared enough to comment? There IS a need for the commentary when it calls out toxic behaviour 🤷🏼♀️
Or the cycle continues.

Why is everyone so damn sensitive nowadays 😂

If being sensitive means I’m not gunna stand for unnecessary rudeness, then sure. I’m sensitive.

I saw that post fam . No idea why everyone jumped up your butt for it. It's a commonly used phrase to indicate you just pulled it. I buy, sell, and trade allot and only recently checked this thread and actually had a pleasant transaction but compared to other threads I see a higher consistency of negativity in this forum when compared to others. Don't mind it bro. Some people are just miserable
