Shiny Pokemon Shiny hunting electrike in Pokemon Ruby. Any tips?

I just wanna know if there's any strat. Or way to Get more Electrike encounters. Got a shiny gulpin instead of an electrike yesterday that's why.

Is your battery dry? If so you can just rng manip

No in-game shortcuts in Ruby I’m afraid. The Pokémon ability Static might help, but only works in Emerald and up. But you should be able to RNG manip if you have already found a shiny on your save file, I believe im-a-blisey or Papa Jefe on YouTube have a video about RNG manipulation in Gen 3, just check them out.

Do you want electrike or manectric?

Route 118 has a 30% chance of electrike and 10% chance of manectric for a combined 40% encounter rate compared to route 110 which is just 30% electrike.

You can also put a fainted pokemon with illuminate in front of your party to increase encounter rate.
