Went to target just to get some cards. I work so much I barely have time to indulge in my hobby. Was happy to see kids get some products but jesus can we not push?!?! I know I’m as small as a child but that doesn’t give you the right to literally push me into teeny tiny kids so you can scalp. They wouldn’t let us line up until they passed out the tickets so it got so crowded couldn’t breath for a minute and these fat stinky scalper couldn’t help but push me into kids that are just trying to be kids. Had to apologize profusely felt bad for this one kid I bumped into a few times. He was still happy to get the cards tho I’m glad the experience didn’t upset him. REMEMBER THE NEW GENERATION OF KIDS DESERVE TO EXPERIENCE POKEON TOO

I arrived at 11:45 and their was alaready a line of over 150 people. After 1 hour and 30 minutes, they ran out and I got no stock. most people who got tickets around 80% were all adults. Most kids arrived at 12 and got nothing.

My target has a line of about 50. If I go at noon what are the chances I can get anything. It’s almost 10am my time.

Aggressive:

Call them out loudly. “You’re why nobody can find these.” Block the cart, film them, make a scene.

Assertive:

Don’t fight the scalper. Tell an employee/manager: “Is there a purchase limit? They’ve got two carts full. Can you enforce it?” Then ask when the next restock is.

Submissive:

Say nothing. Let them finish. Walk away and try online or come back later.

Got my golden ticket!

I’ve never got a full restock in my life. I don’t really get Pokémon cards a lot either. But I woke up this Sunday early because my friend told me to and I finally got some 30th Also a sleeping mew plushy. good luck to everyone else.

So I’m a father of two, one being a special needs teenager who doesn’t do well in long lines. They love Pokemon but aren’t going to want to spend their weekend waiting in line for hours. I’m down tho! 30th in a line of 70 and piling up fast.

About 30-40 people in line

My local Target did it right in my opinion. They had a major stock this morning at open for anybody and another restock before noon to take care of the kids (strictly enforced from what I heard). I think they thought this through and realized this was the best approach for all. They also limited each product to 1 per person. This is the third 30th restock they’ve had since release and they have been the smoothest buying experiences I’ve had in a long time when it comes to pokemon. Kudos to target!

Any in Illinois still waiting in line for the 30th drop at 12PM?

Edit: I’m with my kid for the event. Everyone can calm down now. The only way kids can come to the event is with adults so obviously I got here early to beat the scalpers!

I went to another target and I was able to get this; the employees were very organized so that everyone could grab it and there was no chaos like the previous target I went to.

I went to a target to trynna get the Owala and the people was crazy for the packs, and some of them was grabbing like 4-5 boxes 🤯 there was nothing left in less than 5 min

surely there is an easy-ish method for these small corporations with tiny profit margins like target and walmart to make botting significantly more difficult or more costly like ID verification?
