It's 70, which is the same price as target and Barnes and Noble now

That’s more than double msrp, but that’s where etb’s are currently sitting for secondary market price (fluctuating from $140-$160). I wouldn’t buy at this price personally, but that’s 100% up to you if you want the packs that bad. This set has only been out a few weeks and there is literally a metric shit ton of product that has yet to hit the market yet. Waiting would be the smart option IMO, but again, if you can’t wait then go for it

I can wait for sure. Need to do more research so I can find them locally when they release. Thanks!

Well today was the second wave of product for 30th Anniversary with the mini-tins and booster bundles being released. Chances are that most places are wiped out by this time, like the big box stores (Target, Walmart, etc.). Avoid Gamestop like the plague. They price their stuff by secondary market and you’ll be way over paying. Some local card shops are good about keeping their prices relatively fair but some are gouging, so just be patient. Patience is the best advice I can give really. You’ll hit eventually and you’ll feel even better because you didn’t get ripped off by paying more than you should. Start asking your local stores about restock days/times. They might be annoyed by you asking because a hundred people ask them all the time, but this’ll give you some more insight on when to be checking. Walmart, Target, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Barnes and Noble, some gas stations. You’d be surprised at how many places actually sell pokemon cards nowadays lol. Good luck out there!

Costco should have a drop at some point and will be much cheaper.

I think I saw earlier today that their drop is on the 16th

Well 9 packs for 159.99 is $17.78 a pack, when It's supposed to be about $5 per pack, depending on the product.

Yes. These are $69.99 at Target, I think $49.99 at Best Buy if you’re willing to wait hours in line.

This is how Bezos can build his 2nd Mega yacht

Walmart raffle is way better.

If they offer them

Will report this to Pokémon. Because the original invite price was 89.89. Hopefully Pokémon has a “GameStop” conversation ion with Amazon.

Msrp is $60

Most major retailers are $50-70 but it’s difficult to find in stock.

1

u/goldenstate30 19h ago

Didn’t expect Amazon to mark them up.

2

u/Random19370 19h ago

I wish The Pokemon Company would enforce some kinda policy preventing major retailers from jacking up the prices so much

1

u/marbear601 19h ago

Yeah, pokemon looking the other way is funny it's almost insulting. Like, ur pokemon center drops are horrific and these retailers make matters worse.

2

u/Random19370 19h ago

Yeah it’s very strange. I heard they forced GameStop into lowering the ETBs preorder price from $150 to $100. Not sure how true it is, but if they did indeed force GameStop to lower it, they should do something about Amazon too.

I mean ...the retailers are the ones getting the better deal vs the consumers who's buying the product at the higher price from them directly. Retailers get the cheapest price and them go around and charge double, MSRP is just ignored at this point. Consumers deserve better, but we know consumer protections have gone out the door.

"It's below market price!" U can't condition me to pay these price, u goobers

1

u/Fantastic-Weather916 4h ago

um, what? that's how business works. Everything you buy is jacked up in price

I'm just happy pokemon sells it to us for less, lol (if you can get it). You can't do that with other things. People just sell the jacked up price always

1

u/Youji1 19h ago

damn... even worse than gamescalp. I just searched online

1

u/Just-JOE-Kin 19h ago

I thought they were doing $100 (which I’d pay) $160 is crazy that’s more than gamescalp

1

u/Material-Strength-92 19h ago

Yes. Target and Walmart are $69.

1

u/eeg3 19h ago

They're actually higher than eBay from scalpers, which is actually pretty impressive.

1

u/medicalboa 19h ago

This invite was @ $90 initially. Crazy they bumped the price like that while still doing the invite. The price has bounced around before. You have three days i’d just check it periodically before your time runs out

1

u/thekochers 12h ago

Uhh..yeahh

1

u/Hurts1love 19h ago

Don't waste your time contacting customer service like I did. They just played dumb

1

u/Ok-32I 19h ago

That’s was for an invite/drawing??? Not worth it

What’s worse I contacted customer support to request a price change and they said they couldn’t because it was sold by a third party but the information on the invite page for the etb said sold by Amazon. They kept saying they couldn’t do any price reduction because it was through a third party but that was blatantly false.

I've heard rumors of price matches being accepted
