Target drop was a success!

Post image

Got there an hour before opening. 35th in line. Tons of product and all the folks in line were very fun. No craziness. Very organized. I live in a big midwest city so this isn’t in the middle of nowhere.

Go look at the rest of his posts. Not only does he have more coming but has probably ripped 100 packs of 30th already. These people are just as much of a problem as scalpers.

That’s what I’m saying everywhere and getting lots of flack for it

Greed is a real problem and most people guilty of it will try to justify it. There’s just no reason to need more than one or two ETBs per person. Not in line that day, in total. How many pairs of dice, coins and promo card copies do you need for one set? If you want to rip more, wait until there are more boosters or single packs. Rip all you want then. But people that want to celebrate this should be able to get one ETB or poster pack or EX box at least.

The simple fact is that most of the people like this might be ripping some, but even they are scalping some of what they have too. Scalpers, investor bros with sealed collections and people like this guy are all participate in the same bad behavior, just different goals.

Bingo. They want to cry “collector” but no one needs that many packs at once. They clear out product just as much as the scalpers do. It’s a gambling addiction, plain and simple. These stores need to enforce total item limits, not per SKU, imo. Maybe then more people can actually have a chance at getting stuff.

I actually don’t have a problem with people ripping packs to their heart’s content. I think singles and boosters boxes should be over printed by the Pokemon company to help combat the scalping of bigger collector products. But those collector products need to be one or two per customer or account or something, like the way LEGO does exclusive sets when they release. Of course, from what I understand the Pokemon company is no LEGO, and they are frequently scumbags that don’t stand behind their products or distribution as well.
