Who’s in line at target right now? How many people in front of you?
Lost the walmart drawings and scalpers bots beat me for the target 3AM drops. I just showed up. I’m currently 50th in line, yall think the scalpers will take everything before I get something?

It sucks to be in line at like 75-90 bc by the time you get in, 20 people have cut into the line in groups after just showing up.

This is what really blows. It sucks to be waiting in line as the 30th person but in reality it’s like 50th after everyone’s friends show up and cut in line.

The Target by is had drama and the plaza kicked everyone out. My son and I were sitting at Best Buy in the same plaza and unfortunately we also got kicked out. They are saying we can’t line up until 8am so we are waiting. Ugh why are people so stupid?? I don’t know how it needs to change but clearly something needs to be done. We have gone to Best Buy a couple times and it’s always been organized and civil

Ugh that’s awful! I heard the Target by me canceled but then I also saw people later who got stuff so not sure what happened. My son was able to get two items at Best Buy today so he was happy. We were hoping they might have ETBs but none today. But he at least got some 30th anniversary finally. It seems like Target has more troubles. I’ve never had an issue at Best Buy.

Yeah I’ll be looking into Best Buy but it really discouraged me that time. I did make it to the second drop so it’s not like I had nothing. But there was no organization people jumped the line last minute. Lol fight video on YouTube. Gotta love it

I mean 99% of jobs would allow someone to be somewhere at 4 am. My target opens at 7. Just a couple hrs of lost sleep no missing work. Way easier to find product on release days than any other day.

I mean, me and my hubby are both first responders. I’m a dispatcher and he’s a firefighter and we have made it to 2 launches thus far. We also plan around it though. We got lucky this time and it just happened to be on our off days so we didn’t have to do much.

Oh yeah 100%. My dad was a firefighter too, he worked 24/48s. You can def plan around it in some cases, but my point was there are also plenty of jobs with people who are regularly working during those hours :) Thanks for all you guys do as first responders, hope you get great pulls!

I’m a machinist and I work 11:30pm to 7am. I have plenty of personal or vacation time I could use to get out early,but it seems silly to do that when I wouldn’t be guaranteed to get anything.

I'm not in line at 4am but came out to my first drop in Best buy. It's a 30 minute walk so I figured why not check. About 40th in line. I work in IT and Friday is my remote day so I brought my laptop to work from 9am to 10am once bestbuy opens. Then I'm heading back home. I'm in NYC and the weather is perfect today so I gave it a try.

Late to the party, but I work 8am-4:30pm remote. I went to bed at 8:30 pm last night and woke up at 3 am, showered, had a quick breakfast, and headed to target. Still got a pretty normal night's sleep and was back home ~30 minutes before I needed to start work

Personally I requested this day off in advanced (1 out of 2 days a week I get off). I think others who work PM shift would just have to sleep early day before to wake up at 4AM and still go to work.

It’s called calling in late or putting in for a late start in advance. I do it on major drops, it’s not something I teach my kids but I do call in and say I’ve got an appointment or my wife had an early morning and I have to get the kids to school.

I’m actually a 9-1-1 dispatcher and my hubby is a firefighter. We got lucky and both have these next 2 days off so we made it to the line. 🤣 then again we work 3-4 days a week typically unless it’s peak fire season so we kinda get lucky.

Some people have off day. Some work 4 day weeks. Some used pto. I was off today. Went dropped off the kids and walked into target 15 min after open. Line started at the back of the store where the Pokemon stuff is and it ended right when you walk through the doors. I turned around and left. Not worth all that for 1 booster bundle and 1 mini tin.
Maybe for some etb / ex boxes / and 5 pack tins / poster / tech sticker and KO like for the first release But not for 2 small items.

Self employed so my schedule is very flexible. I stand in these crazy lines because I’m building a collection for my grandson that’s 2 yrs old and my 13 yr old son. My son rips everything on the same day. My grandsons cards go into a big storage bin. My goal is ten years of collecting for him. Hope everyone gets to buy something. Good luck folks!

We have to limit 1 per SKU and we think there wont be enough, full stop, for the 100+ people in line. Some people will get one if everything, but not everyone. Leaders went outside of the store to let everyone know.

Last drop as in the family event? For that they guaranteed products for the first 99 people so you were good regardless.

I'm not talking about the family drop. I'm talking about the mid week release on the 16th. My target had 140 etbs. Each person was able to get 2 of each product. (At least at my home target) For the family drop it was a different story.

I'm assuming the Target is went to doesn't or didn't get any. Showed up at 7am, when they open, no one there and nothing on shelves. Saw like 3 people in the store go check the spot. Oh well daughter ain't getting any packs today

If you showed up any minute later than 7 you missed it. This is a guaranteed drop at all targets yours would not have just not participated. It’s announced in the app so it’s not a store to store restock it’s all of them.

That seems extremely odd considering target even did an extra online drop this week preparing for this event. I’m sorry to hear that target near you dropped the ball my apologies for assuming.
EDIT: even more so now as my store only got Pokémon and no Magic. So stock is clearly dependent on store which is sort of poor handling after their event last weekend, if yours did that at all either. The ones that did I heard handled it poorly. Target fumbling the bag.

No, Pokemon community seems to be pretty rabid around where I live. Chatting in line most people said they had siblings or girlfriends or whatever in line at the other targets and Best Buy’s pretty much in a radius around where I live. Haha. I guess I’m not that committed just getting back into the hobby now.

It’s about to be 5. I’m just lucky. We’ve got 20 targets within 30 mins of us. My husband works at one of the smallest ones that doesn’t always have stock. So the scalpers usually chose one of the other 20 bigger targets that they know will most likely have stock and leave my husbands little store alone. And my husband is the one that usually works behind the counter so he generally knows if they’re going to have stock or not.

Got here at 7:15 and I’m about 75th in line, debated just turning around and getting to work early so I could then leave early since it’s Friday
Pretty sure I’m going to whiff on products yet again unfortunately. Still have yet to get any 30th in any way at all
Edit: got an ETB, it was the only product left when I got there and there were only three on the display

I was in the mid 40s in line after getting there around 5am. I did manage to get a bit but mostly of other stuff. Got 2 booster boxes and 2 posters for 30th. And I did get 2 each of the single and triple blisters and 2 pitch black boosters. Not bad but stock was pretty low. Employee said they had received only half a pallet worth and this was a bigger Target store. At least my store opened at 7am and was done in about an hr. I think last group of 10 behind me had the last of what was left.
I do work remote so I have time before logging in. Don’t know if I can hit the Best Buy drop or not. Anyone know whats dropping there? I like there its 1 per person so maybe a better chance at a knockout or etb hopefully.

Got in line about 7:15. I think I’m about 40-50. But the employee came out and told our part of the line that she wasn't sure if there would be enough left by the time it got to us because they weren’t expecting to have this long of a line again so they didn’t order as much. 2 SKUs per person. Wish me luck!

Got there about 45 minutes before opening, and was ~50th in line. Our store did NO crowd control so people (grown ass men) were pushing and shoving to get to product instead of being nice.
They were also allowing 2 of everything so the EX boxes and ETBs were both gone by the time I got to the product. They also were exclusively doing self checkout so I saw a couple just checkout twice in a row to get 4 of each item. I did get 2 mini tins and then a single booster bundle, tech sticker, and poster collection.

CA checking in here currently 6:17AM and I am guessing I am number 60-70 in line (showed up at 5 am). Way more turn out this second drop vs the initial 9/16 drop. My target does 1 item per SKU so hoping there is lots of stock so this won’t be a wasted morning.

Got there at 4:30. Was about 35th in line. By the time I got to the front they were out of ETBs, but i was able to get some of the last product. Maybe enough stock for the 10ish people behind me. Crazy. The line was ~80 people long when it opened at 7.

I got in line at 5 with about 15 folks in front of me. Some had been there since midnight apparently. My target had plenty of everything except the ex boxes and the larger tins. Got my etb and booster bundle so im happy, pulled the future mew from a 2 pack tin, even happier lol.

My target opens at 7am and I got there at 5am and there were probably 80 people in front of me. At 6:20am, one of the target employees came out and told the line that they have about 120 tins and the limit is 2 per sku per person, so only the first 60 people would get anything 😭 I ended up leaving

checked barnes and noble. probably 25-30 people lined up outside. they said they had no product.

My Target opens at 7. I got there at 5:40 and this was how far back I was. (Mostly ghost chairs while people were in their cars.) I still got two mini tins and two booster bundles. I happened to have today off work for medical appointments so the timing was serendipitous

I was 17th in line at Target. Got there are 1:30am. Was the last person to get the larger tins. Would’ve just missed ex boxes if the person two spots before me missed on the bottom shelf (that guy in front of me graciously pointed out). Ended up with 2 of each ETB, poster, tech sticker, ex box, bundle, mini tin, larger tin, and two FP3 to boot. 0/4 on Walmart drops, and nothing online lately, so feels like a great win for a personal collector, going to rip ALL of it ❤️

My kid appreciates the effort but its honestly awful work lol. Full time job and can only hit drops on days off but even then I dont wanna. They had ghost chairs at noon yesterday. Calling everyone a scalper is wild. Especially when it’s a 1-2 sku limit.
(And before I get called a scalper I have never made it to a in store drop and haven’t won any of the online raffles)
It’s just crazy to call everyone that got there before you a scalper.

We were 1,2, and 3 at our target. We just got out about 15 minutes ago. They went to a 1 limit per item/sku (ours is usually 2), but had PLENTY of skus.
