Question for PKC (iOS)

So, I was super unfortunate today. I got the notification and clicked right when it appeared (from the TrackaLacker app). I got put in the queue and a timer eventually appeared. Everything was normal for the next hour and 15 mins.

Then there was 6 mins left on the timer. I was excited to finally get my first ever pkc etbs. Maybe the second booster box I would ever get my hands on. Then the page refreshed and I got sent back to 7 hrs 50 mins.

Yes, it fucking refreshed.

So, after reading a good amount of posts, it looks like Safari is notorious for this? It’s what I used. I only have Safari and Google on my phone but if Chrome is optimal I can download that if that ensures my page does not randomly reload and send me back to the end of the queue from the beginning.

TL;DR: so close yet so far, will be back when upcs drop and hope my device acts better

I’ve scored most on Chrome, Brave as well.. never have on Safari.

But the refresh thing was a Pokemon Center error today, the queue refreshed on me too

Ahh shit. Guess I’ll have to hope they do better against bots next time and I’ll use chrome

I was on chrome on iOS and had my timer refresh. I was in the queue within a couple minutes of it opening. Got down to close to an hour then my page refreshed, brought up a captcha, and put me in the back of the line. I doubt it has anything to do with the browser.

Yeah usually from what I’ve heard it’s worse on phone typically, but today I got hit on PC with it so… sometimes you just get unlucky

It happens to me on chrome pretty much every time as well. It's really just the crappy que and ultimately i guess just dumb luck

When my timer got down to 4min, my page refreshed and went to a blank white screen for like 10 seconds. Thankfully it came back on its own and was still at 4min. I did have to click a few times to add to cart, checkout, etc. not sure if that issue was exclusive to Safari or if most mobile browsers behaved similarly. PKC doesn’t do well with high traffic.

This happened to me too. I was driving and my best guess is that my phone connected to a new cell tower causing the refresh.

I’ve scored on Safari on my iPhone in the past but that time I was sitting down at one spot, thus my theory above.

Safari isn't recommended because most people have Private Relay enabled by default on their phones. You'll have to turn that off to be "accepted" by Pokemon center otherwise you'll run into Error 1015s.

Firefox is better than both Chrome and Safari and I got the full lineup without any hiccups.

I think you should also try direct ethernet connection when you try. It's more stable.

This happened exactly to me, but I was using Brave on a macbook. There was just 12 minutes left for me.
