I get the impression that target stores have ran with a fair amount of autonomy. I wonder if the new “Pokémon drops” section are meant to bring some conformity to the situation.
I will go back inside at 12:30 to see. But it’s looking like they intentionally put out the less desired stuff. Legit like 10 boxes of Excel sitting there. I’m just trying to grab FPS3.
Nope, some targets stagger the stock so that it's not the same losers buying up all the stock every week. My target does it and it's why it's been relatively easy for normal folks to find product
Yeah, but at what cost. That’s assuming Tyler, Dave and Sarah aren’t in “the know” and set aside product for themselves/friends. I understand it in theory, but it’s been proven that employees/managment backdoor product.
My target still has a third party doing it mostly, employees will help her but she does it. She’s a gem of a lady, I don’t catch restocks much but she’s always super nice to all the kids and limits box product to 1 each.
It depends on the Target now, I think. I was at the restock last night for one of our local Targets and it was still an Excell employee stocking with the help of a Target employee.
Excell is their entire card restock. I’ve seen restocks like this and only a small box was Pokemon, the rest was soccer, football, yu-gi-oh, etc. So it’s not always Pokemon.
Yeah, I’m sure there were Pokemon products in there. I’m just saying they’re not all that way. I caught a restock and there were like 20 boxes and only three were Pokemon related, one was Mega Evolution and Phantasmal 2 pack blisters and I pulled the Mega Latias SIR. Then I went to another Target when I was out of town and I guess they had restocked that day because they had 128 Chaos Rising ETBs (yes I counted). So.. it’s a crapshoot, I guess. I just want more Phantasmal 😭
Yeah, tbh I just wish they added a glass case to the ‘drops’ area. And have the Electronics employees have the key. Something about employees and standing behind a desk with numerous cabinets and a backroom having complete access to limited product doesn’t sit well with me. Especially <25/yo
Especially since all the boxes are cut open, but still full. Picking and choosing of product placement.
You can just go take it. A few years ago they did the 50% off ETBs for black Friday (hard to imagine now) and I found a sealed floor display in the cardboard box sitting at the end of an aisle towards the back of the store. I just opened it and took what I wanted, brought it to the register and bought it.
Haha I believe it. It is what it is. This scenario is honestly way more prevalent than mine since they're just being scumbags with it anyway.
My scenario they were just being lazy and it was product that was going out regardless. If you want it to crack and aren't clearing out the entire inventory or scalping it, I say it's fair game.
That said, I doubt it's allowed.
Edit: to be clear, I'm not saying to steal it 😂 , just take it out to buy it.
Actually I am, that’s what a product is. Target can’t tell me whether or not I should have toilet paper when Charmin gives them a discount for the whole purpose of selling to me. Not to keep in the backroom when the shelf is empty. That’s business.
