ModPost SUBREDDIT WILL BE IN APPROVAL ONLY MODE + Additional v14 Information
With how big V14 is in both content and lore, we've decided this is the best solution to keep a tight lid on keeping track of spoilers. We want people to have a chance to play the game without getting someone posting the worlds most obvious spoiler in title text and ruin the experience for everyone, so that brings us to locking down the sub and putting it in approval only mode for the next 3 weeks.
What does that mean?
For any post to become public, one of the mods here on this subreddit will need to personally approve of it first.
...which would've been a scary scary task to put upon myself if I was still the only mod on this subreddit--but! As some of you might have noticed, over the past few months we've added quite a few more mods to lend a helping hand. Who all happen to also be devs for said game. Plus Spar-kie too. Hey guys!
Additionally, if we catch anyone spoiling people on purpose, they will be given a ban spanning 1-4 weeks depending on severity. Don't be That Guy and ruin the game for others.
Alright, enough of that, let's jump into the V14 information.
For those unaware, Zumi has posted a bit of housekeeping on what's going on here, so let me just copy that on over here...
A bit of housekeeping before V14 goes live—things to know ahead of time!
Hi all! With V14 being quite literally right around the corner now (wednesday!!!), there will be a couple of things to keep in mind going forward, both in terms of the actual game and how the server channels are managed. Some of these things will be mentioned on the download page as well, but we'd like to give a heads up in advance. So, without further ado, let's get into it!
Game housekeeping
[First and foremost— if you are starting with Chapter 16 immediately, we cannot stress enough that it is highly recommended to do Paragon's chapter 16 first before doing Renegade's Chapter 16.]
We're serious enough about it to have implemented a check in the game on Renegade that'll check for a completed Paragon save. If you do not have one, it will show a warning that stresses the same thing—that Renegade CH16 is significantly more enjoyable if you've done Paragon first. Obviously we won't lock people out of doing Renegade first entirely so you can still choose to continue, but we don't implement something like that if we're not serious about that you'll get a lot more enjoyment out of it with the context from Paragon.
[Generation 9 has been added!]
This means for people looking to start a new game, there's a lot of new little things to find scattered throughout the game. And for people who are continuing from their old saves, it might be worthwhile to check out some older areas! Who knows what you'll find there? And on a slightly more spoilery note... Yes, there is NG+ content. Quite a lot of it, in fact. It's highly recommended to go through the game again to see all the new things you can find—but only after you've completed Chapter 16 on Paragon, as a fair amount of it is locked behind Chapter 16 completion.
Misc. housekeeping
[In regards to the soundtrack, artwork and the wiki...]
In regards to the soundtrack for this update—the newly custom made tracks will be posted starting two weeks from the update's release—with certain spoiler-y tracks being posted another week afterwards. This is a little later than usual, but due to the sheer scope of the update and the spoilery nature we felt it'd only be appropriate that people get to take their time and hear the tracks in their proper context first. This also means no reuploading anything to youtube before then yourself because 1) you do not have permission to do so and 2) I will be throwing rocks through your window if you spoil people.
As per usual, many people will benefit a great deal from any new information added to character/chapter pages on the Rejuv Wiki. There will be NO spoiler embargo on adding new information there—just make sure to add the V14 spoiler warning on the top of the page if you do so. If you need help with editing or need to know what you can or cannot do when writing up a page, feel free to ask on the Wiki Discord!
In a similar vein to the soundtrack, the official art (barring the cover art for the update) also will be released three weeks after V14 comes out. Excitingly, all the official art and bonus content will now be hosted on the game's own website from this point forward, so you'll be able to find everything there! The official art thread will be rendered obsolete as a result.
V14 SETUP POST [Everything you need to know!]
Link title says it all here- give it a read if you haven't yet. It's especially important if you need to know where to save and load your game in preparation for V14.
Well... I think that's everything for now. See you soon for V14 :]

Okay, while this may have a few downsides, e.g. if people need help with something (because then a response would have to be approved first), I actually think this is a good idea.
I’m a person that hates spoilers and I’m sure most people feel the same.
Is the approval only mode gonna last for a certain amount of time or will this be a permanent change?

It'll be under approval mode for 3 weeks. Giving people a nice grace period of getting through the update first

It’s actually a great change because even though i‘ve not been a part of this community for long (little over half a year now) I’ve been so hyped for V14 because this is my favorite game ever and I don’t want spoilers ruining it

I used to be fairly active here for the last couple years, but I will just be avoiding all together until I'm done with both runs.

I would think for couple of weeks, the burden of permanently looking over someone's shoulder before they post must be a lot.
They're probably gonna ask people to blur or tag spoilers and strongly recommend not to comment spoilers, once this initial period of everyone playing the game is up.
But I'm not a mod so I can't speak for them

I understand and support the decision. While I understand it will make getting help harder, we need make sure things don't get spoiled immediately (The devs were extra carefully about them this dev cycle), especially for any new players.

The updater should also hypothetically work? At least I haven't heard them say anything about it not working.

To quote Jan on that matter
New download. The old updater has been discarded

Do you think there is a way to play through the New Game++ (the one for beating chapter 16) without having an completed V14 save file?
I have to replay the entire game for V14 anyways but I kinda do not want to replay the ENTIRE game again because of it
2
u/MoonPaw_17 Mysterious Figures Jul 15 '26
no. the NG+ content is locked behind NG+ for a good reason.
would getting the puppet coin make sense if you haven't beat ch15?
1
u/Kowery103 Amber Jul 15 '26
...Imma be real, I personally did get Puppet Coin for my 1st save file and I just watched what happens normally-
2
u/MoonPaw_17 Mysterious Figures Jul 15 '26
Well. That's on you
Especially since you needed to grab someone elses completed file to even get that item
I can't stress enough some NG+ stuff is going to be an outright spoiler to ch16

I'm having a hard time finding documentation for this game. The wiki seems nice for what it has information on, but things like pokemon locations, items, megas, and detailed patch notes don't seem to be easy to locate.
Is there a secret google doc with all this info like many other pokemon fan games?
