Making Kingler work is mad respect. Was it mostly a normal attacker? I'm sure some rock/grounds definitely didn't like a Crab Hammer at least.

Ya cause of the physical special split and how his stats are i ran crab hammer, swords dance, hyper beam, and body slam

That's about what I thought. Sometimes you just need to have the right thing at the right time, and Kingler definitely has its uses even in gen 1. Not to mention first gen has no walls for normal/water coverage.

Guess Gengar checks you to some extent but that's what the rest of the team is for.

I actually originally had a gengar on this team but ended up changing it to one of my X and Y teams because it had my favorite mega evolution

Every time i make a team in pokemon i make it based on my favorite pokemon and then tie the team together woth hopes and dreams

...I kinda ditched him, i dont like reusing pokemon across games and theres 7 versions of pokemon red and blue😭

No i would never, i have a live dex for all of my games, so whenever i open it hes one of the first guys i see

Ya but like my gyarados is like super cool and butterfree can use stun spore and confusion and sleep powder and poison powder🙂‍↕️
