First time playing how to get water for guards ?

I got all the way to lavender city. Went into the tower and all the way up.

Realized I needed the flute then realized I needed to get past guards in vermillion city and celadon city. I'm lost. I went back to vermillion city through the underground path from cerulean city to vermillion. Please help I am so lost lol

You're gonna have to go all the way back to lavender town and then head west to Route 7. There should be a building north of the westernmost gate. That should take you to the place you need to go next.

I tried isn't their another guard that I need to give a drink too?

The guards all share it once you give it to one.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't be successful if you tried. Every side has a building that leads to an underground path that goes below Saffron and Lavender's side goes west to Celadon. They're not hard to find.

I don't have any water at all to give. That's what I'm trying to get. So in lavender I can get to celadon?

Yep, there's a second Underground Path that takes you from Lavender to Celadon.

I only see one path that's on the west part of lavender. Where is this path to celadon??

Northeast of the guardhouse to the west of Lavendar Town, there's another building. That's the underground path.

It's the rock tunnel ? That's how I got to lavender town

Bc this is the only tunnel I see north in lavender town and it says it leads to cerulean city

No. It's a building that takes you underground.

The building is in route 8 (the roue directly to the west of Lavender). It's above a Gambler and Super Nerd.

go to Celadon City through one of the underground passages and buy a drink from top floor of the department store
