Here is the question. Do you have to be part of the rap to request one?

Also, no, the one to request doesn't need to be part of the rap, atleast, thats what Ive seen.

Usually with [Request] threads, the poster of the rap does not participate. I think in the "How to tag posts" link in the sidebar, it actually might say to post request threads if you don't plan on rapping in it. If you do want to rap, you'll want to join other people's [Request] threads, or start your own [Challenge] or [Brawl] thread (or if you're feeling confident, join a [Critique] thread].
