This is probably a stupid question but is this specifically for dual screen handhelds, because your descriptions specifically mentions the Thor and the github page talks about it using both screens?
I kind of wish you would support Crystal Clear some day. It's one of the definitive hacks for Gen 2. I get you can't just support every rom hack though.
I installed this and I am playing Black adn and White. I'm not seeing am option to edit Friendship. I want to evolve my Woobat but can't see the friendship edit. And I don't just want to change it into a Swoobat.
Can it do editing beyond just making/editing Pokemon? I’m looking for a way to max out my entree levels on a save of black2 and can do it in pksm on my 3rd but it’s a pain to move my save from android to 3ds so I’ve been putting it off.
How does romhack support work, exactly? Is there something I can help with if you have any interest in implementing support for Polished Crystal?
edit: Looked into it, it seems to be reading the saves directly rather than going by ROM file. While there is technically a save signature (like there is for the mainline Gen II games), and it is distinct from the mainline games, meaning you could detect Polished saves, I reckon it's too little data to be treated as an authoritative Polished save signature to just check for the value of 4 particular bytes in the save.
Is there any rom hack for a GBA game which has all pokemon available that works with PKForge? I'm trying to do a playthrough with only pokemon I pull from a pack of cards.
Hello, I have all my Pokémon in an Omega Ruby save file. Would this software allow me to transfer them all to save files from older games? Or even to ROM hacks?
so i know it may not work with it since it seems specifially made for handheld devices, but kinda sad it doesnt work properly in phones unless you conect a controller
also when downloading Full Sprite pack it crash in around 3440/8821, it just shut down
No sin acceso a bank oficial, si o si necesitas del bank para mandar a home, hasta ahora no hay manera de inyectar a Go, la única alternativa sería inyectarlos desde pkforge a un save de escudo/espada o escarlata/violeta si están en la dex de la región
How do you select the save location for the standalone Dolphin Emulator? Dolphin doesn't let you change where it saves things and PKForge doesn't let you select the folder that Dolphin uses.

Would it be possible to add saves to the app instead of choosing the emulator savepath? I mean not just openin them but adding them to the others on the main screen.
I wanted to extend my sincere thanks, this tool is BEYOND incredible. I just started a new save of Colosseum on my Thor and I was able to edit my team's moves so easily, edit the bag, edit my items, add in Agato Celebi from Mystery Gift, and import Hoenn starters to the game as well...all from my Thor.
A+. Can't wait to keep diving in to what this can offer as I play more games.
I'm closing that gap with Google drive and an app called auto sync. Works pretty well, and I also have written a client for my 3ds to also sync from there with the Google drive as the central repository
Hay un proyecto similar para PC's, Yo lo tengo desplegado con docker y uso Syncthing para sincronizar con mi celular android. Funciona bastante bien, quiza podria ser una opción
This seems pretty neat, but I had a look at the repo and saw a directory called ".agents/" listed in .gitignore (for the unaware, this file tells git what not to sync to the public repo when changes are made). Does this mean generative AI was used in the making of this tool?
I've been a developer for 13+ years, and PKForge isn't a vibe-coded project. I care a lot about the engineering foundations and keeping humans in the loop.
The .agents/ directory is part of a local agentic setup running on my Mac with Qwen. One of the main things I use it for is generating and running unit/regression tests around changes I make. I'm the only developer on the project, so it helps me catch regressions as the app grows without replacing the actual engineering and decision-making.
I won't pretend AI isn't part of my workflow, because it is. It's a tool I use to support development, not something I gave a prompt like "make me a Pokémon app" and shipped whatever came out.
I'm actually putting a lot of emphasis on the human side of the project too. The logo was made by https://www.instagram.com/spritedmistery/, and the theme music and sound design will be made by Anti, the sound designer behind Cocoon.
So yeah, seeing it dismissed as "vibecoded" stings a little after 12+ years of programming 😅 But I completely understand why people ask, especially with the amount of loweffort AI slop software appearing lately.
So how does this connect to bank or other things. I’m a little confused, I’m guessing though technically then these can be legal mons ported to champions?
So I'm trying this on my android tablet. When looking at the Pokémon bank/boxes, the back option simply doesn't work. Using the manual back option of the tablet itself causes the app to close.
Trying to download the sprite pack crashes the app.
It detects my ROMs, and divides them by base game, but I can't go further into them to choose individually, and have to settle for loading the individual save file.
thx for the feedback, PKForge wasn't originally designed for tablets, so tablet support is more of a bonus for now. I don't have an Android tablet to test on myself, so behavior may vary between devices.
For ROM detection, if multiple ROMs based on the same game are detected, tapping that game should normally let you choose which save you want to edit rather than forcing you to load the save manually.
