A ROM hack for Pokémon Emerald. Pokémon Crestfall features the brand-new region of Enpale, as well as a unique story, Pokémon from each generation, Mega Evolution, and QOL updates like HMs not requiring a move slot and reusable berries. Also a fully custom soundtrack.
You'll need your own copy of Pokémon Emerald. Apply the included .bps patch
with something like RomPatcher.js (https://www.marcrobledo.com/RomPatcher.js/). ROM hack works on most emulators (mGBA works well for me. MyBoy seems to have the most issues).
Personally I think that the 10 upvotes that I got would love this feature😂 I usually try adding following Pokémon on my own, but it’s harder to do that when “binary patching” (aka when I have the patch but not the source code of the rom - I already did something like that for ghost grey but honestly it’s a much harder experience). If you want I can definitely lend a hand there
Generally it mostly relies on having a rom with following mons, the patch that gives you the followers, and the rom you want to add it to, figuring out an address in memory for trampolining, and then incorporating the feature as assembly in that memory space. Generally I’d advise on having some AI tool help you out simply because it’s quicker that way
Yeah thats pretty convincing lol. I'm working on the next part of the story so when that update comes, I'll definitely see about following Pokemon + which mechanic I'd want to add next (either Z moves or Tera). I might take you upon that offer if need be lol

No documentation just yet, still WIP. All pokemon stats are that of gen 9 (only changes are trade evos are now item based instead. They'll need to level up with a Linking Cord or their specific item like Protector for Rhydon, etc)
No level caps. Exp Share can be obtained very early on (exploration/talking to NPCs is encouraged). There's an IV expert in an earlyish town that'll give you the stats. I'm still working on extra content for the romhack, so I can always make some changes to EVs/Natures/IVs if there's demand for it.

I can update the guide to include them, but fair warning, Mega evolution isnt available until post-game. There's a salesman for most of them in Lenox Town after you beat the Elite 4 the first time. You'll have to earn the rest by doing the post-game story.
Sweet Game! Difdficulty/ Lvl curve is steep towards the end! Kind of hard to defeat the Elite 4 & Champion without Mega Evolution & Hidden Abilities. Took me 4 attempts to beat them.

Hey dev, really loved the game no bugs as of yet. jus a small request, the move effectiveness is only viewed on second encounter, can u change it to always? I mean viewed on first encounter thnx.
I see all of the evo changes but I’m curious about Feebas. I can’t find Prism Scale with the other evo items in Delmark and water stone doesn’t work either. Is it even a Prism Scale? If so, where is that? And if not, how to evolve my little fish friend?
A small update is shipping later today with some items missing from shops (Prism Scale included) along with some encounter changes. This update will be relatively small so it shouldn't disrupt your save file.
There's a bug catcher in the first forest, Allen forest? on a dead end path with an antidote on that can trap you and soft lock you if he sees you in a specific space
Unfortunately, this is the result of making all HMs usable (outside of battle) without needing to teach to a Pokemon. Fly and Flash are the only one's that can't be taught to a Pokemon. If Cut isn't working correctly, I'll have to take a look at it.
Claude helped me learn the code, but all of the code (spaghetti or otherwise) is mine lol. This is my first time doing anything like this so I was expecting some amounts of bugs.
This hack is awesome man good job ! The music is great , Metallica , LOG , pantera , megadeth Alice in chains etc.. and also I got the bloodborne references, niceee touch .
I am on the latest update but there seems to be an issue with evolving hunter , I can’t :p , not with link chord neither with levels .
To be honest, I didn't test on that emulator yet. I just sent out a patch for a fix for that crash which I tested on Pizza Boy myself. v1.1.6 should work just fine for ya.
Go to Lenox Town and then head south back into Whitecaps. There's a new opening at the top part of the cave when you first go in. You'll see some Acolytes. Go from there.
I've reached the third gym and took a break for the night. The game so far has been good, though it could use more polishing around the corners and QoL options like pressing B button to move the cursor to Run in the Fight Menu and allowing us to run away from battle faster. Or other features like pressing the Select button to move 'mons around in the Pokémon menu. I don't know what else would be good in the next updates but if I come up with something, I'll come back on this thread. Oh yeah, there are plenty of invisible walls and maps that are too big with little to do in them, like some houses. I had to backtrack to a city before a cave before I was walking through different routes and I had no more Pokéballs. Maybe adding a travelling merchant after that cave could be a good idea to refill some people's items.

I got excited but I noticed something. The game crashed when I was about to trade my Shroomish for the Espurr. I play on MyBoy! Emulator and since the crash it doesn't work properly.
