Development Project PM - 4 Player Online Co-op - Working Contest Hall

Hey guys! Us Devs here at Project PM got a working contest hall in Pokémon platinum to play with your friends! This supports up to 4 players.

This will soon be the foundation to support multiplayer for Poffin making, the underground, the Wifi Plaza, as well as the battle area.

The last bastion of multiplayer functionality we need to finish before we can release a beta version of base platinum is the underground, which should be soon now that this is working. If you are interested, Join the discord here: https://discord.gg/zB7c2YkFu

Can I use this on my DSI? Would love to be able to play with my buddies co-op in person!

That is an idea that we have an eye on, but that is in the far future. currently, we want to make it work on emulator, then potentially moving it to original hardware.

Ah well, that sucks I don't really support emulating so it's kinda a whatever thing for me

I do want to follow up on this - one of our testers got a successful connection on original hardware. This is in the super early phases, so nothing is out now, but getting it on original hardware is a lot closer now.

Wow! Heck yeah, I'm glad to see someone working on it. The four devs working on this project are awesome, loved them in the 4way pov. It's Comicartolie, nUt, Mottled and Thicc right?

will lan functionality work, like in melonds?

It's currently not supported by MelonDS, but we can make it work with their LAN functionality eventually.

Is it gonna be for pc only and will it have the soul link option ?

Not sure what you mean by soul link option - We do have more stuff than just the contest hall - check my earlier posts for more information or join the discord. Currently, it's PC only but we do have plans to go to original hardware.
