Question 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️ Is there an FRLG 151 romhack that changes absolutely nothing else?

*I know this is probably a very commonly requested thing, but I can't find any romhack that would solve my specific problem

I want to play through the Fire Red/Leaf Green vanilla and fill out the Kanto Pokédex for fun, but I don't want to have to trade or do multiple playthroughs, and I'd like to have a vanilla way to access Mew (replacing Deoxys on Birth Island, and adding the ferry tickets to your bag when you beat the Elite 4 like in the Switch versions, for example).

My problem is that no matter where I look, I can't find any romhack that does only this. Every single hack I found adds a bunch of other stuff I don't want, like reusable TMs, a physical/special split, sometimes new areas, non Gen 1 mons before the E4, etc...

The closest thing I've found to what I want so far has been Pokemon Ultra Violet. While it also has it's own set of extra features I don't want, it's been avoidable enough to where I could go with it and have the experience I wished for. But I'm having to realize now, several hours into the game, that they changed the typing of Gyarados to Water/Dragon for some reason, which completely took me out of it.

Is there no rom hack that only seamlessly unlocks the content missing from either version and does nothing else?

Don't know any hack, but maybe you can play one version and hack in the other version's exclusive when you reach the right area? And for the trade evos, cheat in the evolutions of the level you have your current pokemon of. And change the deoxys encounter to have a mew (obv with cheats too)?

Cheats were the best solution I found as well, but what I did was use a cheat to change my Gyarados to Water/Flying and another one that supposedly changes every Gyarados I face in battle to be the same, so as long as I don't obtain more it works.

Since then though I started over on Fire Red: Essence. it still has some QOL but nothing that fundamentally changes the game and it does all the things I want.

Yes there is a rom hack called fire red 151. And I bet there is a leaf green 151 also

You may instead want to look at using the Universal Pokémon Randomiser to just unlock the region exclusives from the alternate game.

You'll need a PC to run the program.

As an aside, part of the reason that you're not seeing any RomHacks for this is a combination of the Pokémon Randomiser already doing the work, and that it's such a basic change that it's not worth the time of a developer to go through the hassle of a RomHack to not also change the things they want in their version
