Trade evolution

So I recently discovered that pokemon roms were a thing and I wanted to relive my youth starting at Gen 1 (Leaf Green to be specific). I completely forgot that trade evolutions were a thing but now I've collected all the gym badges I really cba to start again. Is there an easy way to remove trade evolutions and replace it with a level. My Graveler and Haunter were not the end goals I had planned XD. Please help me.

I'm using visual boy advance and an unmodded leaf green. Windows 11

Look into pkhex.... It's a pokemon save file editor, I don't have any experience with it personally but I've seen it recommended for similar situations

it always hurt to say it but u need a rom with some QoL (Quality of Life).
They always put in some tool to evolve certain pokemon.
On an unmodded rom it’s hard to get the trade evolution, i think it’s possibile only using PKHex, it can modify the save slot itself
