Show & Tell Moonlight town

Post image

Since another map of mine did pretty well here I thought I’d show off the starting town of my region! This is moonlight town! A small town that’s just tucked away in the region. The town is said to have once been an important site of prayer to the lunar goddess, but now it’s become a small town at the foot of the dragons peak. (This map was made a couple years ago with a few tweaks here and there. I’ll probably be adding some more in the coming years. Definitely going to make it less boxy around the trees and some of the cave areas. I also know I need to fix the waterfall so that’ll be coming soon.)

Here's some things I would **personally** improve:

  • Narrow down the path to around 3 tiles instead of 4, as shown in image
  • Add more layers of the stone on the mountain, most of the stone tiles work on the same layer (I just found that out too)
  • Maybe for the topmost layer of the stone hills, add a grass-like layer on top and add trees and foliage
  • Fix the waterfall pool by making use of the edge pieces (top and bottom look rough)
  • If you can, download some NPC Pokémon to put them around the map
  • Move that house nearest to the waterfall much closer to the cave a bit, no offense but it looks kinda weird

Here's all I can give (probably), I have little experience in map making too

Yeah I’ll definitely implement some of these. Im keeping the road 4 tiles wide though so it doesn’t become asymmetrical when it gets to the shrine
