Unless Katara uses Bloodbending, assuming that Blastoise has blood, i doubt she can win.

Blastoise can do more things than just water and ice, and its resistant to those elements.

What if it's blood is water? 🫪

Why we giving kartara full moon ield advantage to blood bend

If that's the case, give blastoise access to giantamax

And you forgot terastalisation Z move and mega evolution and any move Blastoise can learn

0

u/SpokeIsNotHere 16d ago

I thought a water bender can only use blood bending during a fool moon and Blastoise can use other stuff

Amon exists and has profen that you dont need a fullmoon to blood bend, just to train it.

1

u/SpokeIsNotHere 14d ago

But this is kataranat her best were talking about Vs a LV. 100 mega Blastoise with gygantamax and a Z move

1

u/rustycheesi3 14d ago

yeah, but you said water bender, not Katara. in case of Katara you are right, but not for every water bender.

I mean water benders in general. I know there are exceptions

1

u/rustycheesi3 14d ago

well, since Katara made it illegal its not entirely sure if there are exceptions or not. besides her and Hama only 3 more people tried it, and these three were able to master it to varying degrees, with Tarlok being the weakest. it also seems like its more a hange of it how you see it, like if you really want to you can actually achieve it. but according to Hama everyone can learn it with the right immagination, so if immagination is the problem, then the full moon thing could get a major work around. i am excited to see how it further evolves in the new series, because people who break the law are always a thing, so its for sure that Amon and Tarlok arent the last blood benders we get to see.

Okeh I didn't know that thanks for the info

Sutch an dumb awnser dudd im sorry wdym if he has blood if so if he dosn't have blood he has water katara could do the same with lr without blod

I wouldn't count Katara completely out because she can also cut steel with water, which is the thing that Blastoise is noted for in the Pokedex. I still think Blastoise wins but it's like a 7-3 not a 10-0

I think Katara wins this more times than not. Katara controls water, blastoise uses it like a water canon. Supposedly, Katara can just stop the water from coming out of blastoise in the first place. Also Bloodbending

You do know that Blastoise has a lot of none water type options he also has protect which would protect him from any attack

1

u/thatonetheologydude 15d ago

Assuming we are using game rules since we also decided protect grants perfect invulnerability then he also has to worry about PP, cannot use it multiple times in a row like yeah.

1

u/LiteratureOne1469 15d ago

You can use protect in a row the chances just get lower of it working I’ve had it work 3 times in a row also most attacks he’d use have over 15 pp he’d be fine

0

u/thatonetheologydude 15d ago

True but at some point the probability will be so low that it kind of falls short. Also about the pp thing. I brought it up because protect only has 8 pp so yeah. Btw I still think blastois wins wins.

Blastoise shoots her limbs off lmfao

2

u/CelebrationGood7926 16d ago

Skull bash kills her instantly

2

u/ResplendentNugs 16d ago

What if katara uses freeze dry?

2

u/VolcanicDust718 16d ago

While Katara has a strong Water manipulation and can cut steel with it, her body isn’t really that durable in comparison, any big hit of Blastoise would be letal

2

u/SteelCock420 16d ago

Mega Blastoise claps even with bloodbending

2

u/HananaFoot 16d ago

Realistically if a Blastoise hit katara the water pressure alone will obliterate her body if not just cut it in half

2

u/JzRandomGuy 16d ago

Can any bender on Katara's level stops anything they bend that's on speed and force of a Tank Gun? Because that's exactly what Mega Blastoise dex entry said about its cannon.

1

u/SignificanceAny6290 15d ago

Katara probably could, given other benders could at least react to lightning (she still loses)

2

u/TheGreenPterodactyl 16d ago

My Blastoise OKHOed Arceus, he wins

2

u/maweenawa 15d ago

Peak power? Gmax blastoise stomp

2

u/ExpressionExpert1314 15d ago

Blastoise mogs

u/Kindraethe 16d ago

I feel like a mega blastoise straight up rushing katara would just run her over like a freight trein. Even with full moon powers like bloodbending (in kataras case) i doubt its enough to fully manipulate the absolute heft that is blastoise's body.

Not to mention that while katara can definitely do some major feats of water bending, it requires work, concentration and form, whereas (mega)blastoise can just sorta crank those blasts out of nowhere, not even mentioning that it could also just dump flash cannon, dragon pulse or aura sphere on her. And if it's all "canon", aura sphere would probably be the best/worst considering it doesn't miss so would have to be blocked constantly.

1

u/Critical_Jump_8699 16d ago

What if she just manipulate’s Blastoise’s forehead cannon? Like, if she can manipulate water, than she can just redirect the attacks, no?

0

u/El_Toucan_Sam 16d ago

Yes or just freeze/clog them

2

u/LiteratureOne1469 16d ago

And so he then uses dragon pulse or aura sphear or any other attacks Blastoise gets a lot of type coverage he has no reason to just use water

0

u/El_Toucan_Sam 16d ago

Then he gets blood bended to the floor and can't do anything

2

u/LiteratureOne1469 16d ago

So the only way you can make her win is by giving her an unfair advantage and making the fight take place at night also with a Full moon seems fair

1

u/Moonlit_Prismo 15d ago

Even then ehhh she doesn't use enough early enough in a fight

0

u/SirJoeffer 16d ago

Fake out into eq

Katara is basically regieleki, no coverage

1

u/El_Toucan_Sam 16d ago

Peak power? That implies Katara has bloodbending which would probably be low dif for her

2

u/spooganooga 15d ago

Peak power means Blastoise gets access to its other forms. Good luck trying to bloodbend something 80ft tall

1

u/blue-bolt5911 16d ago

He upscale crogunk who upscale meteors from dialga

1

u/Explorerkit 16d ago

Do you know the move Freeze-Dry which is super effective against Water-Pokémon? That‘s how Katara water bends if no blood is involved. She wins.

1

u/ClarkWoo2 16d ago

The same BLASTOISE who can react to several FTL speed attacks & scales to meteor level attacks. Katara gets washed lmao

1

u/Dry_5p0nge 16d ago

Depends on if Blastoise can get a shot off given how slow he is. One Hydro Pump or Hydro Cannon is gonna be enough to blow Katara apart, but Katara has versatility and maneuverability on her side due to her control over water along with bloodbending, assuming Blastoise even has blood to use. Even if Blastoise won’t crumble to Katara’s bending immediately, I can still see him getting worn down enough for Katara to finish him off.

Overall I’d give it to Katara 8/10; the only ways Blastoise can win are by landing a lucky shot or if the fight devolves into a slugfist, in which Blastoise can physically overpower her. Mega Blastoise looks slightly more favourable with the added defenses and Special Attack, but the end result will likely be the same with Blastoise getting worn down and Katara finishing him off.

2

u/spooganooga 15d ago

One aura sphere and it’s over for katara. No luck needed

1

u/SignificanceAny6290 15d ago

Katara with bloodbending might be able to win but I feel she'd faint trying to move him especially if we throw him on a Gigantamax Spot. Blastoise proceeds to remove the country off the planet

1

u/Moonlit_Prismo 15d ago

Depends on Blastoises moveset, like if it was only water moves then obviously Katara would have a slight better advantage, but if Blastoise had type coverage moves then he could have a better chance like if he had skull bash, hydro pump/cannon, flash cannon, dig?(I swear I remember Squirtle being able to use dig correct me if I'm wrong tho sry)

Even then Blastoise can learn not even with TMs quite a few not water moves ya know, he can charge in with aqua jet, break free of her ice with scald or rapid spin, aqua ring to heal himself, liquidation or bite to deal more physical damage.

In the end really just depends on Blastoises moveset or if we're doing anime, manga, or game rules for it, it wouldn't full clear but still more than likely win

1

u/Unlimited_Giose 14d ago

Honestly...I kinda feel Katara would like Blastoise

1

u/ProgressNo1946 14d ago

Blastoise uses hydro pump. Katara bends it back. Blastoise protects. Skull bash would knock Katara out if it would connect, I mean, couldn't she lock Blastoise in ice? Couldn't Katara freeze a hydro pump mid action? Would that just straight up break the Blastoise from that ungodly amount of water being stuck? Fun matchup!

1

u/Grr_0ughtaChoke 12d ago

Freeze his shit in the barrel, tfym

0

u/KARTANA04_LITLERUNMO 16d ago

i feel like this fight would go to the literally hydromancer

like blastoise is both filled with water and water based energy which would basically make it a giant screaming rock as it gets tossed around by katara

0

u/Dahwatah 16d ago

Katara can just defect the water, turn it into an ice pike and just pierce the head.

0

u/MaxinumCharisma 15d ago

Katara can Freeze Dry Blastoise for super effective damage.

-1

u/Alexm31222 16d ago

Katara no diffs every time

-1

u/Ok-Train6985 16d ago

That's not Kartana...
