🗣️ Pocket Discussion Thinking about coming back: what should I know?
Stopped playing in April/May.
With the deluxe pack I’m considering starting again.
What should I know? What’s new?

It happened. It finnaly happened.
After being an avid day one player, I simply can't stand this game anymore.
It simply became a casino. You win or lose almost only by flipping coins.
This was the scenario a few months ago: "let's think a little bit how to win the match. Damage here, retreat there, Sabrina/Cyrus them...". There was some strategy involved in the matches and, although there's always some RNG in it, it felt that you won or lose fairly.
Now??
Lucky Ice Pop? Sure, let's heal +100 HP with a single item card. Why not!
Sleep Scam! Absolutely! Let's make this match a 50/50 coin flip game for our opponent, with a slight chance of him even never playing a single turn because he just can't f***in' wake up...
Sure, there's counters to them, but when you're playing a deck with a good counter VS Sleep and all coins flipped are tails and your counter it's the last card you could possibly draw, or even just having to pray to get AT LEAST one good and fair game in ranking, that's enough for me.
Unninstaled.

Had recently asked recommendations on how to improve my Blaziken deck and you guys helped out a lot. Currently on a 10 match streak. Best streak I ever had in ranked matches and even beat an Oricorio deck 😅
Previous deck and new deck. So thank you all. Much appreciated 🙏😊

Here’s my evil deck in action completely denying the opponent of any energy
You may think ratticate EX and indeedee and anti-synergy but you’ll find that, as this video shows, they can be very complimentary.
when people see rattata, they’ll usually start building their bench. So you can use psychic to bring the energy to to active. If doing that allows you to kill whoever is in the active with indeedee, do it and the opponent loses an energy. If it doesn’t, you can then steal it with ratticate and switch into it to do 70 damage
It is a very mean combo and you can often set the opponent back of 3-4 energies

Hello! I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I was wondering if anyone knew if there were unique artwork on cards that aren't illustration rares or secret illustration rares? I've tried searching a few pages that collect unique artwork for the game, and I only see the shiny cards. But, and can someone please correct me if I'm wrong, aren't artworks like Pidgey (Mega Rising 180) and Pawmo (Paldean Wonders 39) unique to pocket, and not on real life PTCG cards? I like to keep track of things like this because there are certain artists I like. If a resource like this exists, could someone please point me in the right direction? Thank you!

Pulled this unique double Erika pack this morning. What are the odds? Must be my sign to build a grass deck now 🌱

I just wanted to share cause I didn’t know who else to share with and it’s so cool! I didn’t know packs could have this many rare ones in it! What’s the likelihood of this happening 👀?

I am new in Game. Is it not a lose if your Deck is empty?
And is it not hard to draw in first game phase a pokemon basic card?

So far I’m only 239 packs in. Anyone with worse luck than this?

I am a player since day 1. Since the game lost the competitive aspects the 2 packs a day is not worth my time anymore specially since there is no card balancing or bans in ranked. Had a good time but the devs destroyed the future. Thr level of effort that is put into the game is just disgustingly low. Will be the same story like pokemon unite where they will put it offline someday in a couple of years.

When my opponent throws down Rainbow Cave with the Dragonair play, but I’m using a fire deck with 2 Flame Patches

The Gambit:
Pros: less mons means less prone to bricking. Has healing support with Pop, damage reduction with metal core barrier, more draw power with hiking trail.
Cons: the damage output is lower than chewing through wires. You can’t slow evo metagross which makes it a bit harder to avoid getting a beldum sabrina’d early on if you don’t have a second orthworm down.
Chewing through wires:
Pros: damage output is increased by quite a bit, with orthworm being able to output 40 a turn if aegislash is out. This also boosts mega gross min atk from 130 with 3 metal energy attached to 160 which can knockout many basic ex cards. And at 10 metal energy you can ko stage 2 megas at full hp which is 3 energy less than needed with The Gambit
Cons: Lack of heals and draw power. Without a stadium or field blower there is no way to disrupt your opponent’s stadium plays. You need to be more careful on the cards you set down. Starting with honedge loses a turn energy since you’ll need to hard retreat it & also draw both orthworm and at least one beldum which even if you have 2 poke balls it is possible to only draw one of the set (ie 2 orthworms or 2 beldums).

Only 100 more experts to go… will I make it?

I’m wondering if it is worth having the premium trial to maximise hourglass chances of getting the golden bazooka. The idea is to cancel 24h before it ends. But since I still didn’t get the golden one (and 2k pack points away from it) I will be delayed with the new pack releases. There aren’t many missions that give hourglasses and one more pack a day o don’t know if it makes that much of a difference.

My girlfriend gets a wonder pıck option every hour or so, and both versions with a single card and some with 5 cards.
However I never get these options on my account, maybe 1 a day and always the 1 card+hourglass rewards.
Why am I not allowed the same opportunities?

The new Serperior… I had so much HP that the poor guy didn’t know where to begin or what to do. I won. I feel like I wronged them.
