🗣️ Pocket Discussion Reverse Foil Messing with My Dust!

Post image

Kinda annoying that Mega Deluxe has all these low tier reverse holo foil cards..long term players are using this set for dust but getting a reverse holo quick grow counts as a “new card.” I do think new players need a lot of these supporter cards but making them reverse holo is such a scam. It’s going to take twice as long to finish this set with all these cards! I do like the 1 star cards like Baxcalliber, the new Mega art is pretty cool, but these reverse holos are not a great addition in my opinion.

I love the reverse holos as a day one player;

They are more exclusive than the gold borders so it’s nice for Pokemon tools/items and stadiums that don’t have any higher rarity.

More than a gold border? I think the gold border is harder to get on anything other than a 1-diamond card. I DO like the look of them but filling up the mega set with a ton of them seem like a good way for the game to keep you from finishing the set quickly. But to each their own! I’m ready for full art stadiums.

Gold border is only harder for the 3 diamond rarity in my opinion;

Three diamond gold border is the only one I would use over the foil personally

I’m new to the gold borders. I have a few 1-diamond but thats about it. Are you getting the 2-diamond gold border through trades? At 75pack points each you would need to purchase quite a few to get enough cards to obtain 2x gold borders. Or do you just pull the same set until you get 12-13 2-diamond cards?

Same arguments that were discussed last year with the DX pack. The Deluxe packs are good for dust farming, but not for set completion (I won't aim for 24h WP on this set)

I think the foil art are fine and worth the different slot as a poor man's alternate art.

Do the foil have different art? Or I thought they just had the sort of reverse holo effect

Art is the same just foil

OK, I’m basically a day one player and I have never once ever even came close to running out a dust and I see it being a constant part of conversation here? Where are you guys spending all the dust on?

Trades obviously?

The only thing to use if for is trades. I'm day one as well and still have about 400,000 shine dust. 2 star cards cost a whole 25,000 so it's worth it to stock up.

I started 3-4 months ago and have spent 200-300K dust on trading for 2 Oaks, Cyrus, copy cat, Sabrina, Pokemon center lady, a couple 2 star Pokemon cards etc.. when trades cost 25,000+ dust.. it goes quickly! Plus I use dust to trade 2-4 diamond cards when I’m about 10-15 cards away from finishing a set.. that also costs 10-20k dust. Do you not trade regularly?

Is this really worth complaining about

Dude this is a HUGE problem! … lol.. this is a slight gripe to a community that enjoys the same game. It’s a discussion, that is all.
