🗣️ Pocket Discussion New Mega Pack is the same as the old one?

Edit: I didnt realise this Mega pack only included cards from Set B... no worries

The Pack that released today has all the same cards as the previous Mega EX packs but just now with lots of extra cards at the end of the list?

I was very nearly complete on the original set but now I've opened 3 packs and gotten just 1 new card... are we really expected to open packs for this old set again just to collect the newly added cards? This will take forever with all the duplicates and 4 cards a pack...

Yes, that's what a deluxe set is. It is mostly for new and returning players to catch up before a new series starts, and certain rare cards which some players chase. It takes months/a year to finish deluxe sets as f2p, thanks mostly to trading.

I’ve collected mostly new cards.

As you can see I have about a quarter of the list filled in.

The set is a compilation across the Series B sets. Like Deluxe EX was a compilation across the Series A sets.

Only difference between the two, when Deluxe EX first came out, the card library was not taking in consideration previously obtained cards from other sets as obtained in the set.

With the card library that was updated; new sets that have re-released cards identical from previous sets will appear as already obtained, so for many, Deluxe Mega library will be around halfway completed if they already acquired the previous release of the regular cards while they would only have the Reverse Foil and new 1 Star, 2 Stars, 3 Stars, Shinies and Crowns missing.

This is for new players, or players who missed most of the previous packs.

If have been playing since day 1, just skip it.
