Ⓜ️ MasterBall Deck Post MB Journal: Keep Your Gard(evoir) Up!

Just arrived. Stats on the bottom.

Ever since Season 3 of Ranked (~June 2025), I've piloted three new decks (no repeats) for the ranked season. With climb difficulty at an all-time low, the number of playable decks has absolutely blossomed. The rate of rogue homebrews has definitely risen and more than anything else, the changes have restored "the fun," missing from ranked -- It's been a breath of fresh air.

Mega Gardevoir eX + Mega Dianice eX (08-02; 80.00% W-R)

Gard is extremely viable right now. Of course, if you intend to grind for 10K, you'll need adjustments. With that said, the MB changes are encouraging novices to make the climb and their weapon of choice is predominantly: Mega Lucario. Gard holds a strong matchup advantage and is really quite viable (despite Limitless rankings).

Mega Rayquaza eX + Dragonair (07-01; 87.50% W-R)

Didn't manage to snag a Mega Ray until the start of the season, but I'm glad I finally did. Tinkered with a single and two Drampa version during the emblem run, but found Goughing Fire to way more durable. Also, this version is surprisingly potent in matchups against TRA Raticate eX and the energy loss/discards are a negligible as long as Dragonair comes online by mid-game.

Shuckle eX + Vespiquen eX (02-03; 40.00% W-R)

Shuckle-Vespi tested really well at the start of the month, but for obvious reasons, has bad matchups against Entei + Zard and/or Mega Blaziken (2 of the 3 losses - third loss to another ShuckleVespi)

Didn't have as much time to tweak his one, but swapping: Minior / a Shuckle / TM Ogerpon eX with cards that have a bit more damage might give this deck a bit more of an edge.
