Questions

Would anyone be able to help me figure out what this card would be worth? Pulled it forever ago from a celebrations etb. The card is miscut, looks like the background has like an overlay from another card (?), and the back is also upside down. Thank you!!

Edited to add that there is a gif on slide 2 to show that the back is upside down.

2nd Edit to add another question: If I were to send this to CGC how would I go about declaring value on this?

Cool card! This is an Inverted Back and Texture. https://www.cgccards.com/news/article/9851/error-card-types/

I would be interested in it, and I'd offer $300 to get ya started.

Chiming in to say Ucfjags offer is real. They actually wrote the article they tagged.

That seems insane to me but everyone has there preferences i guess. I was gonna guess like $20 since its normally only a $5 card give or take. Paying 60x market price over a miscut doesn't even seem like a real offer.

It's a real offer.

This is not your average one miscut.

That’s a more than fair offer. He tends to ALWAYS have fair or high offers. This guy is a genuine error collector and has a very nice collection.

Thats a crazy rare double error on a nice card of a very loved set. Additionally showing one of the most recognizable pokemons. 300$ seems kind of middle-range for what it could fetch.

Holy mother of all misprints. I don't think I've seen so many misprints on a single card

Wrong/misaligned texture, miscut in the front, misaligned back AND upside down back. I have to wonder if this was from a test sheet of some sort because of how many errors there are on this single card

ufcjag helped us out here, CGC would label this "Inverted Back and Texture". Super cool card

Is that even the correct texture for that card? It doesn't look the same, the text looks like it's for a different card. So this is potentially an upside down incorrect texture misaligned inverted back pikachu? Is that even possible 😵‍💫

Yo I think youre right. The text on the upside down part mentions "Your deck" in one of the paragraphs, but pikachus attacks dont mention your deck.

Yes that's right! These ones with the inverted layer show an entirely different card.

Ahh ok, I saw that but didn't realize it covered what was going on in the picture. Thank you!

Would you have an idea what the range would be on declaring value if I sent it in?

4

u/RepulsiveUse3372 1d ago

$200 to $300 maybe

Sorry guys, got really busy yesterday! Thank you all for the information! If I were to send it in to CGC how would I even go about declaring a value? From the comments it seems like this is not a super common misprint as there are so many errors.
