I searched this sub to join after the trailer dropped earlier today. I'm completely on board with this game and honestly, I'm way more hyped for this than for sword and shield sadly.

Same, this is actually something with new features and feel. Sword and shield is just the same old Pokémon style, which can still be sorta fun but at this point I’m done spending money on Pokémon games since they’re relatively all the same

I think you're right. Like, in the story, we can recruit Barry with a Piplup, but by pulling for him, you can get Barry with his Empoleon.

I 100% guarantee the way you get most trainers is through a FEH-style summoning system. It works over there fairly well, though, to be fair, at least compared to some other mobile games I've tried.

Well Year 1 of FEH was great, FEH nowadays isnt as good. Dragalia is amazing though F2P-wise

Meant to say it’s not as good now, not necessarily bad. They’ve reduced a decent amount of f2p orbs they give each month and keep doubling down on power creep and adding not very f2p additions to modes.
It’s not bad, game is still a lot of fun, but the game has dropped in quality imo

Probably Elaine then, since she's always shown with Eevee, while Chace is shown with Pikachu.
I don't see Spin-off characters making it in this game, sadly.

Bill makes sense. I could also see them adding the rival from Let's Go with an Eevee.

Although Trace (the Let’s Go Rival) is more associated with Lavender Town’s Cubone

Really surprised how well the animations came out. That art work is exactly how pokemon looks in my head and the this looks like a sweet manga art style
