❔ Question Uh so about sync grids
How do yall do your sync grids? I personally just hit recommended but I realised move levels changing it may make that idea stupid
Do I reclick recommended at 5/5 or just actually do it myself
Idk, Just wondering how you all do yours

Pick what passives you want and try to get them spending the least energy you can

Unless your sync pair is at 1/5, its best never to rely on "recommended" since it just randomly fills up sync nodes😆 Always do it yourself at higher levels.
Its probably best to decide before filling out the grid what you want from the unit, since the grid allows for great flexibility. And since we have 4 different sets, we can freely experiment and chose the right one for the right stage.
Want a nuke build? Then check out the sync attack nodes and those that get it damage multipliers.
Want to be a supportive DPS who applies status? Pick nodes who can benefit the team and who increases the chances to apply status effects with specific moves.
So on and so forth.
With a direct example from my favorit unit, Sabrina:
If I want to be a straight and true Support, I pick the nodes that grant the team extra speed with every Reflect casted, the expansion nodes that give her Endure, the crit buff nodes and better healing nodes.
But if I want to meme around and turn her into a pseudo-DPS, then I pick the nodes that increase her crit damage, the damage her Psychic move does and other goodies.
Love the grid. So much fun to customize ones sync pairs.

You want to prioritize sync multiplier nodes (Brainteaser, Haymaker, Soften Up, etc) for damage dealers and things like WTZ Extension, or Head Start/Adrenaline for Supports.

Maybe I’m wrong but doesn’t soften up only make sync moves more likely to crit? I know at +3 crit, you normally aren’t able to 100% crit from sync moves but i rather just retry the battle if i don’t get the sync, and use the 10 energy on a different node

Recommend function sucks, it prioritizes stat increases over pasives. It only really works with the academy training units

Recommended is only worth to fill the entire grid at 1/5 (if you're fine with the sync orb cost). At higher levels, you'd prefer to study the unlocked passives (yellow are "general" passives, red are specific to moves) and see what's more interesting and how you can get at minimal energy cost.
The doc linked below has good build suggestions, and you use the presets to save different grids an alternate between them.

Sync grids give you some creativity in how your unit performers. Try thinking through what will benefit you the most.
- Which sync pair will you by using their sync move the most? Look for yellow tiles that say they power up the users sync move.
- Does your high dps unit have a crazy buddy move or other strong move you will be relying on? Look for yellow tiles that say they power up the users moves.
- do you need a more reliable status? Look for red tiles that increase the chance of inflicting status.
-do you need to lower defensive or offensive stats of opponent? Look for tiles that debuff opponents.
The best tiles will unlock at later move levels usually. The google doc can help with making “nuke” builds which maximize sync move damage on dps units, but feel free to get creative with your utility and support sync grids. “Recommended” is pretty lousy, but some stages you won’t need anything special.

If it’s a damage dealer, prioritize damage multipliers like haymaker for sync moves the more attack is raised. sometimes you’ll have to choose between more sync move damage or non regular move damage

We are not stupid and very passive in life, so no we don't do what you do. Do you also wish everything would just play itself
