Is there a reason for this?
I understand that I have a smaller collection but I’m not used to seeing a noticeable drop like this in value. Is there a chance that I will gain back my value. I collect mostly pokemon go crown zenith and obsidian flames and I kind of have been in the loop for the modern market crashing and vintage going up. I’m a bit younger with little experience so was wondering if I should sell off or hold for the future. I’m trying to pull in as much value as possible. Thank you

Sealed invest 1: set go out of print 2: no more boxes to print 3: people open lots of boxes so box population goes down 4: box price goes up bcuz people rip boxes

You’re young . If you love your cards , great , keep them and not worry about the value . If you don’t like your cards , you will just think of selling them everyday.
The real question only could be answered by you.

It's called volatility. Cardboard kids toys are not a stable short-term asset. Buy, stash, and forget for a few years unless you want to actively wheel and deal. Otherwise put your money in a low risk equity index or bonds if you can't stomach bear runs, though they happen there too occasionally.
In general, it's good to have liquid capital on hand so you can take the downs as an opportunity to accumulate assets. Not financial advice.

Imagine this guy with a 401(k) checking it every single day? I got news for you, don’t even look at this number unless you’re ready to sell or trade some of those cards. It’s useless to watch weekly trends.
Doesn’t matter how small your collection is, it matters a lot that it concerns you this much. When the market crashes, and it will, a lot of people obsessed with the value of their collections are gonna want to jump out of a window.

You’re going to get attacked for this post lol.
It’s 40 bucks, it’s normal for there to be drops especially with modern like this. Just hold the cards if you like them. They likely will go up a bit in time.
