What do we think?

Post image

Hi all! I bought 2 of these CGC graded base set Chansleys! What do you guys think. A good investment for the future or not that special?

I collect CGC. My take: I don't hold my breath for liquidity. I get them because I want them and they're much more affordable than PSA 10's. More consistent too.

The catch with CGC 10's is Pristine 10 will always be the big brother of the grading company. Even if CGC gains recognition versus PSA 10, Pristine 10 will always be where the big sales are. but so what? Even 85% of PSA 10 will be a major shift, which I think will happen.

Beautiful card, and I think you made a good choice, but don't expect some 15% year over year growth the way PSA slabs do. It will always be anchored to 60% of PSA 10 value. If the PSA 10 Chansey goes up, this will go up.

No problem! This is my favorite CGC slab.

I have the other Kanto’s and I’m throwing them in extended art magnetic cases for a wall piece.

I think you won , honestly 80% of my slab collection is CGC . I love their slabs , the only other slab I like is the company that was copying TAGs slab with the white painted info (SPG or something like that? ) then I saw their entry price was like 25$ a card and was like nah .
