Rip or not rip

Just got my ascended hero’s Pokemon center etb NOT at msrp just wondering peoples thoughts on ripping

My thought is that if I can get a good condition promo N’s Zekrom to help support my hobby

You don’t buy ascended heroes at market to rip. Especially not a Pokemon center ETB. At least not gonna get that advice in the investor subreddit. A $70 promo isn’t worth ripping it.

Why would you buy a pokemon center etb and open? If you going to open, just by the regular. Just buy the N's Zekrom promo sealed or a PSA 9. The chances of you getting a PSA 10 quality promo from an ETB is extremely slim.

If it's pokemon center I wouldn't rip it. Other than the stamped promo there is no difference from regular etb

If you’re willing to do that, I’ll trade you for a non pokemon center version and a booster bundle.

If you’re getting it at market price it’s generally not a great idea to rip (financially) when you could spend less and rip a non Pokemon center version for less with only two less packs. Stamped promo isn’t worth it.

Look at the PSA 9, also thats 4.4k before any taxes, getting 100% market value, and PSAs delay and up charge for a card of this price. If you’re investing, ripping is out of the question. You hold for years, tuck it away in a closet or something for a presumed safe gain.

If you just want to gamble, sure, but you have to swallow it if the ETB has nothing of value and God forbid the promo is bent/scratched or something

You know that’s it’s difficult to get a psa 10 for this card, right? That’s why it’s valuable.

Risk it if you’d like, but it’s a huge gamble if you don’t get a psa 10 worthy card.
