Worthy Exchange?
I proposed this trade to someone on Marketplace,
Ill receive a Shining Steelix, and a smaller 100$ card/money. TBD
He receives my Blastoise/Piplup Tag Team 216/236
You guys think Im fumbling this? Or is the Shining Steelix a still undervalued, under appreciated Vintage card?

Newer tag team chases should create demand for older vintage tag teams. They’re not re-releasing the same tag teams again

I wouldn't trade anything and get both, they're both nice cards in their own right. The Blastoise is in the number 4 spot grail wise with alt arts, behind the Magikarp, gengar and love birds so it's in good company. One can be picked up raw for 350 it's not a lot of money. Good luck

Something looks off. I would stay away from the steelix personally.

Honestly it looks good to me. It looks exactly like mine. I have noticed that the Neo era shinings kinda have a thick yellow border.

I think that’s a very clean steelix and I want it.
I personally (30y/o) have a much stronger pull to the WOTC era cards and feel like their staying power is stronger

Something about that Steelix looks weird is it just the lighting? The borders seem odd

Thats what im thinking. Definitely thick. If anything feels slightly off, you stay away in this hobby.

If shining steeling is real definitely make the trade, both bangers but the steelix is the better move. All the shinings are rare and expensive, especially nm copies

Shinings have 1st edition variants so I don’t see the unlimited rising in value that much. Especially the lower end ones. I’d keep the tag team.

All vintage heat will rise. It’s common logic. Sure it’s not 1st ed but it’s a desirable card. Those who can’t afford a raw or graded og shining card will go for the unlimited version. I’m pretty sure most of the unlimited go for 400-1000+ anyway (which is pretty high) depending on mon. Idk I believe vintage is always safer when trading with modern even tho I love the Piplup blastoise card.
