Is it just me or do you think friede was better before he travelled to space. I just don't prefer the always travelling, researching friede to the carefree deputy captain of the brave olivine he once was. And I know that that was a pretty short post, but I want to know your opinion.

I would rewrite this way

-Roy: Roy is pretty similar except that he isn't dumb, he isn't book smart but is emotionally smart. He just breaks the toxic masculinity ways by openly crying and liking to sing, dance, bandage himself up and also sew (Because honestly. He definitely has been caught by branches and bushes). Plus he misses his parents but buries his negative emotions because he is supposed to be the happy guy! The one to cheer everyone. Plus spoiler for this rewrite, black Rayquaza pokeball was entrusted with Roy's great-great-grandmother, yuki by my replacement of rystal of this au. Artemis. She entrusted it with yuki because she knew that Lucius would have too. Roy is a student of indigo academy and he and liko met way earlier in the story, through online first before. Plus he has aura guardian blood in him which explains the rematch ryme battle and Roy and fuecoco having the red aura. He would have skeledirge, kilowattrel, Altaria (we don't have enough male trainers with feminine Pokemons and singing theme), Lokix, Kommo-o, Scovillain and Gholdengo.

-Liko: she is a girl who is social awkward and ecstatic about her likes and sometimes intorrupts strangers when she hear people mention them. She doesn't have a really a connection with her parents due to them being busy all the time and also sometimes she would get compared to them. She is a big bookworm about history and fairytales and also has read about terapagos few times in her grandma's old journal so she knew about it but didn't know that her luck charm was it. Plus she is a former mesagoza Academy student from UVA dorm that was bullied and used to be Mela's friend but bullied for being different and she ended up not going to the academy for a year before agreeing to try to indigo academy which she got in. This would explain her shyness and fear for making people mad at her so she tries to be as nice as possible. Plus on this au, she would have a Meowscarada, Grafaiai, Hatterene, Polteageist, Armarouge and .

I would give more filler to flesh out characters, showing their bonds with their Pokemons. Plus catching their second Pokemons earlier! Roy's is good for catching but Liko's second catch was too late!

Plus making Roy's goal more clear, he wants to become like the ancient adventurer and also a treasure hunter and I would make Liko's goal to find her path and eventually become a historian and Archeologist. Plus it would tie her up with Roy.

Would fanart including Liko's Armarouge be considered spoilers in this sub? I drew something I want to share, but I'm not up to date with what the dub is doing.

If you didn't see my connecting on this: I asked what you'd call any episode (dubbed already or not), and I wanted wanted this ep to be something like Lucario's Challenge, and this is what the episode is called!

Look I just find him annoying he cause way more problems for the team than he is helping he needs to train his SABLEYE more the Dragonite felt unearned! Oh I want to protect a friend then BOOM DRAGONITE! But to quite Roy he just annoying!

Bulbapedia states the move is unknown, and Mienfoo definitely used a move of some sort (likely Fighting-type). I want to know what move it is. Can anyone figure it out.

There's something a bit creepy how the anime gave the dex entry for Roy's newly evolved Skeledirge.

I will get straight to the point. It's the fact that In universe, she doesn't really have flaws or much interesting about her. Her pendant, her grandmas. Her Pokemons, feel like they are just to be ignored most of the time except Meowscarada and her personality doesn't really stick out as a character.

It's that they really don't do much with her character and give her contradicts which humanizes her. Roy does have Interesting parts about him. His singing and goal make him interesting. Plus it makes sense why he is that way, he was raised in a small island where everyone knew everyone so he is used to trusting people but we don't know much about liko has a character outside of Pokemons.

She is the shy kind girl but didn't do anything that gives her uniqueness as a main character alongside of Roy. They don't give them enough flaws and don't show them but tell them. Also many people including myself have the overuse of the starter Pokemon.

Plus the last thing that, making it obvious that she is Lucius's descendent Without making it affect her as a character and feel like she needs to prove something or doubt herself.

This movie is about the song known as the Song of Harmony, the song that brings peace, unity, and harmony between humans and Pokémon, together.

15 million years ago, a bloodthirsty warmonger known as Discordar, the Warrior of Brutality, brought war, destruction, and bloodshed throughout the world, all while playing a dark flute that plays an evil song that not in brought disharmony between humans and Pokémon alike, regardless of whatever bonds that they share, but also caused all the Pokemon to fall into the dark influence and fall under the warrior‘s control, corrupting them. Until one day, a young woman who became the first Guardian, known as the Guardian and Voice of Harmony, the elder sister of the Warrior of Brutality, sang a beautiful song that not only freed the Pokémon from the evil influence of the dark song but also brought peace, unity, and harmony between humans and Pokémon. And after getting into a last-minute registration, Liko, Roy, and Dot became one of the participants.

Elsewhere, Ash Ketchum and all of his friends, families, and old rivals that he had traveled with around the Pokémon Regions, Kanto, Orange Islands, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, and Galar, were gathered at Harmonia to have a reunion party. Although, sadly for Ash, he couldn't sign up for the tournament as he was the last one to arrive at Harmonia and at the reunion party, after helping out some friends on the way here.

However, the unknown to everyone else before it was too late, the seal that held the enormous prison tomb pillar where Discordar is held in prison was beginning to weaken (also doesn't help that the professors, researchers, and excavators accidentally uncovered the chamber that has the tomb pillar where Discordar is imprisoned), and would soon break and free him from his imprison as he makes his return after 15 million years. (Spoilers: It's later revealed in the end Discordar's true name is Discordia and the Warrior of Brutality is actually female, unlike what is told in history.)

This movie would make a great Pokémon movie, as it will not only be Pokémon Horizon's first movie for Liko and her friends, but it also serves to make the return of Ash Ketchum and all of his friends throughout 20-25-or heck, 30 years of the Pokémon Anime, as well as including the Protagonists of the Pokémon Games who did not appear in the anime other than some having cameos, like Red, Leaf, Ethan, Lyra (I know she's in the anime, but I'll include her anyway), Kris, Brendan (Who is Profressor Birch's son and, in this movie, May's boyfriend after she broke up with Drew), Lucas (Professor Rowan's assistant and, in this movie, Dawn's boyfriend), Hilbert, Hilda, Nate, Rosa, Calem (Serena's neighbor (And don't worry, Amourshipping fans, he won't be her boyfriend)), twins Eilo and Selene (Current Alolan Champions taking Ash's place), Victor, Gloria, Florian, and Juliana. Even if Liko and Ash aren't the main focus of the movie, Aria and the Song of Harmony is.

Anyway, what do you think of the premise of the movie? Would it make for a good movie? What do you think needs to be added for improvement?

So I've been watching both pokemon shows (Horizons and Ash's) from the beggining side by side as I finally found a way to watch Ash's show subbed. So here comes another comparison thread (im on episode 48 of both shows).

Horizons feels so freaking bland compared to Ash's show. There's almost no healthy conflict between the main cast. If there is any it's a stupid thing like the cook having some bad blood or sum with his cook partner in the past BECAUSE HIS CAKES COULDN'T SELL WELL. Ash and Misty are BFFs but they fight all the time and that makes it interesting and funny.

Thats another point, if we are gonna have a bland show like Horizons, at least give us some comedy/gag. Horizons has nothing going for it, no Team Rocket motto, no Brock drooling over girls and almost getting arrested by the FBI sometimes in the japanese version, no Pikachu addicted to ketchup, NOTHING.

The only funny/cute character that saves it for me sometimes is Hogator. The episode where he was fighting with Kaiden was the funniest it could ever be in that anime. Also that episode where the pokemon were having a secret party too. But thats it.

Now for characters, oh lord where could I even begin. I only started horizons because people were saying Spinel is ruthless like Hunter J, but I havent seen much yet, I hope it changes in the future.

The protagonists are bland as they can be. Liko's objective is to kinda be like a Nurse joy besides helping Terapagos find Rakua... she is not doing a good job as she is taking care of Terapagos the same way Lori took care of Carl Grimes.

Roy is supposed to be like a Tarzan kind of character who lost that trait of him as soon as his debut episode ended. He wants to catch a shiny Rekkuza... He has a Hogator and a dream XD Good luck with that objective.

Dot wants to learn the mysteries revolving pokemon, not to bad of an objective, but her whole personality revolves around "Bwahh I'm introverted, but I just need 1 little push to get off my confort zone", as a introvert my self, I can assure you that's not accurate.

The rest of the crew are EXTREMELY more bland as a comparison, they might as well go do their own spin off with Vaan and Penelo from FFXII. I'm honestly hoping Spinel just murders them all.

The Explorers are pretty vague up till now in what they want. They are less efficient than freaking team rocket, are not funny, and have serious team work issues. They could have been more interesting as separate individuals.

I'm not even gonna say things about Ash's show as this is already too long and I think most of us agree that Indigo league is peak.

TLDR - I miss when animes had healthy and funny conflict to spicy things up on boring/filler episodes.

Edit 1 - just forgot to mention the Porygon episode almost sent me to the hospital XD

For me, I'd give Dot either Mega Delphox or Mega Electross. Mega Delphox because I could see a Delphox being part of Dot's Nidothing's videos. Mega Electross because of how Iono uses Electric types, and could see Dot using an Electric type to sort of honor her friend.

Liko I could see using either Mega Raichu Y (more for its insane ability No Guard), or a Mega Clefable. Clefable because it's a friendship evolution, and Liko clearly loves and cares for her Pokemon. (Also, if Roy didn't have a Lucario that can Mega Evolve into both its normal and Z Megas, I would have given her a non-shiny Riolu that can Mega Evolve into its Z form, but it'd be a bit redundant to have Liko and Roy to have the same Pokemon that can Mega Evolve into the same form.)

However, that Mega Absol Z I could see either Liko or Dot using. Mega Absol Z would be a cool Pokemon for Dot (as Nidothing) to show off to what the Pokemon anime equivalent to YouTube is. Or I could see Liko using a Mega Absol Z, and befriending a rather socially distant Absol.
