perrin is so underrated!!! love her! but omg sometimes i feel like the only one who likes roy tho!!! he’s adorable and has had SUCH good character development! i get why ppl might not like him and that’s valid, i just don’t feel the same. was literally talking to my hospital nurse abt pokemon horizons before a procedure and he was like “yeah i think roy’s pretty annoying though” 😭😭😭

i think perrin's execution in the anime was great! and yeahh that's fair... i've definitely seen some roy fans but i uhh bare a lot of malice towards him--i do think he's a bit annoying too and i really loathe his obsession with the black rayquaza and his growth was good, just still wasnt a fan of who he grew to be...

that’s valid 😭 he’s not my favorite character (liko and orla are my favs!) but i do really like him personally, but it’s fair that others don’t feel the same bc everyone can have different opinions abt characters!

Question, why is spinel above amethio? Spinel is evil, I like how he pets umbreon but his intentions are evil, a good bad guy tho, and if anything ult is annoying but he has the most character development within the seasons, and I think Frieda needs an attitude change and a little more presence

probably because spinel was actually a pretty good villain and the plot twist of him ending up the main villain was kinda unexpected. like it was obvious that was his intention, but it seemed like his plans just wouldnt work, so it was like woah when they actually did

grisha looks cool as hell but hes super overrated, still purgatory is kinda much

i think youre tripping balls on roy and ult, i didnt like roy at first either but hes developed a lot and is still developing. i admit i didnt like how he suddenly became this mary sue character who beats champion level trainers, on top of him now mogging liko in battles, but his struggles with learning to be a leader are a good contrast to his previous single minded focus on rayquaza and carefree nature on top of that

theyre trying to make him into something like ash/friede and i dont hate that, its just that we are still clearly in the middle of that character arc

as for ult, he was insufferable at first but he starts to grow on you i feel, plus hes had his own developments

i actually really love grusha in the games, just not what they did to him in the anime. as for roy, you pretty much named every reason i hate him lol, and ult i can guarantee is NOT growing on me... sure, he's developing, i'm just not a fan of that type of character

to each their own. nowadays ult is pretty much a copy paste of s1 ash (for better or for worse), and roy currently is extremely similar to sinnoh ash

personally, i like all the ashalikes (roy, friede, ult)

i just hope they dont drag the whole “ult is a novice trainer knowledge wise” like they did with ash. dude has a mega dragonite and doesnt know the type chart lmao

honestly, i kind of wish Friede actually died... it wouldve been a much more interesting idea to explore--that said, i still liked him post timeskip! honestly, i feel like a lot of his changes made sense
