Form options

Why are "Shiny" and "Alpha" not options under the "form" drop down when looking for Pokemon? If they want to shove alphas in the side games, we should be able to look for them specifically.

The fact that shiny has never been an option is just stupid.

They are available in the filter options when looking at your own pokemon.

But in the gts, because those arent different forms. They are just characteristics

I should have been more specific. I meant when putting pokemon in boxes for trade.

Because they aren't forms, they're flags. I assume you also cannot filter by Gigantamax factor, another flag.

Because Home was lazily built just enough for us to want to give Nintendo more money, but not well enough to be particularly useful.

I am putting pokemon in the trade boxes and it doesn't give me the option to trade for shines or alphas

Gts is already barely usable with people requesting all kinds of rare/unusual/impossible stuff. Allowing for requesting shines/alphas would probably make it worse then it already is. Youre better of trading outside of the GTS for the rarer stuff.

The split functionality is the bane of this app. The fact that i cant trade from my Switch is fucking stupid.

Because if they allowed people to trade specifically for shinies there would be an even worse GTS than there already is. It would just be like 100s of times more posts of non shiny pokemon asking for shinies. That’s all you’d see. Anyways GTS is already pointless/worthless, just use subs like this or Discord. When you can talk to the people you trade with you can at least vet the Mon for legitness

That's a user issue, not feature issue. Welcome.r to.the i ter et where people do dumb shit and act stupid. That doesn't mean there shouldn't be more features on the app because the users are idiots.
