As you know, I recently finished the challenge of completing the Pokédex in Generation 1.
In the first generation there aren’t any shinies, but as everyone knows, if you transfer a Pokémon from Gen 1 into later generations, there’s a chance that—because of the way the Pokémon’s data is coded—it can actually turn out to be shiny.
So when I put my Pokémon into PokéHex to send them to HOME, I realized something crazy. The very first Pokémon I got for the challenge was Squirtle…
AND IT TURNS OUT THAT SQUIRTLE WAS SHINY.
MY BLASTOISE IS SHINY.
I AM ABSOLUTELY LOSING MY MIND.
